A new student is excited about his first day of school and is quirky and fun, but the kids see him dacncing at start making fun of him at the bus top, including Anthony LaRusso.

Amanda shows up at Tory's job to lay down a threat and make sure Tory doesn't do anything to Sam before the torunament.

Tory has an aggressive reaction and gets fired and is upset.

The new kid worries when he has to play ball with Anthony and his friends, but he's good at basketball despite their teasing. He embarasses Anthony by hitting him in the face with the ball, and Anthony is ready to do someone about it when they girl he likes, Lia, tells him to simmer down and cut the new kid some slack

Lia tells Kenny to ignore Anthony and his friend, and Kenny seems to have developed a crush on Lia the same as Anthony, which Anthony notices and itsn't happy about.

Daniel teaches Johnny Miyagi-do, and he reminds him of how Miyagi karate isn't boring and saved Johnny's life twice.

Robby teaches them Miyagi Do but how to be more than reactive and use it to their advatage.

Tory tells Kreese about Amanda and losing her job.

Kenny talks to his father who is overseas in the military.

Kenny and Lia play on the video game together and get closer. But it's really Anthony and his friends. They set up a catfish situation so Kenny meets them.

Kreese tells Amanda to lay off of Tory and shares Tory's rough background. It makes Amanda feel guilty.

Johnny shows Daniel the way of Eagle Fang.

Anthony's friends Zack and the others make fun of Kenny wen he shows up and goad Anthony into joining them in beating up Kenny but Kenny manages to get away and hide in a dumpster.

Johnny takes Daniel to a hocky game for beers after the training and riles up the hockey players instigating a fight. The hockey players try to take on Daniel afterward, and Daniel beats them all up, while Johnny invokes Miyagi Do philosophy of not being there and avoiding a fight

Tory confronts Amanda with groceries Amanda bought for her family and tells her that Amanda lit a fire under her to beat Sam now. She doesn't want to be somebody's charity

Kenny tells his brother in juvie, the same guy who was beating up Robby when he was in there that he's getting beaten up and that one of them knows karate. His brother tells him that he knows someone who can help.
