Mary and Tony are at the end of their week long getaway. As they are leaving the hotel they are seen by Mr. Sprat. 

Back at Downton, Edith is taking her duties to Marigold seriously, while Rose continues to show the Russians around. 

A policeman comes to Downton to investigate the death of Mr. Greene. Mr. Bates comes under suspicion due to his proximity to the murder on that same day. 

Thomas asks to use Mr. Carson's phone regularly and says that his reasons are related to his ill father. 

When Cora and Baxter go to London, she reveals to Cora the reasons behind why she stole the jewels. Cora then spends time with Mr. Bricker in the art museum. When Cora returns to her hotel room she discovers that Robert came there to meet her. 

Edith's presence begins to get between Margie and Tim. Eventually, Tim tells Edith that she cannot come to visit Marigold for a while. 

Mary and Tom have a conversation about his moving to America and about the time she spent with Tony.

Cora decides to allow Baxter to stay.

Rose invites the Russian refugees over for tea. At the party Miss Bunting offends one of the refugees and Violet encounters an old friend.Tony travels to Downton to visit Mary.
