Recap

On Hannibal Season 3 Episode 12, Will receives counselling from Bedelia, and tells her how his perception of his family has changed seemingly irreparably. Bedelia shows him that Hannibal systematically took away his family because he's in love with him.

Jack, Alana and Will decide that the best way to capture The Dragon is to offer Will up as bait. To do so, they enlist the help of Frederick Chilton and Freddie Lounds. Chilton provides theories about the Dragon's character and history, while Will insults him.  They take a picture indicating Will's location, and Freddie Lounds agrees to run the article.

Will and Jack prepare for The Dragon's arrival. However, Dolarhyde kidnaps Chilton instead.  He takes him back to his house and glues him to a chair. However, his captivity of Chilton is interrupted by Reba, who comes to tell Dolarhyde that she wants to continue their relationship.  Chilton witnesses all this, but is not let off the hook.  After Reba leaves, Dolarhyde reveals his face to Chilton, gets Chilton to say he was wrong, and then bites off his mouth.

During another counselling session, Bedelia shows Will that he set Chilton up to be killed, indirectly doing Hannibal's bidding. Hannibal receives mail from Dolarhyde containing Chilton's lips, and manages to eat one before it can be examined. Meanwhile, the FBI receives a video of Chilton confessing to The Dragon that he was coerced into telling lies about him, and that Will Graham was the one making the insults. The Dragon lights Chilton on fire and rolls him to the hotel that Will was staying.

Chilton survives the attack and tells them that he saw a black blind woman. However, Dolarhyde has already kidnapped Reba, and tells her that he is The Red Dragon.
