We pick up with a flashback to the moments after the fire, with Olaf posing as Yessica Haircut and forcing Mr. Poe to change the will so that he would be their guardian. 

Jacquelyn is kidnapped, with the Hook man taking her place at work. 

The kids decide to visit Mr. Poe to have him help them out of their situation, but he is not fussed about helping because he is not the guardian.

Olaf reveals that he wants the kids to participate in the next play and the kids realize he is trying to marry Violet in order to get the money.

After the kids deliberate with him, he sends them to hang out with Justice.

When Olaf realizes the kids are getting her on their side, he goes over to her house and offers her a role in the play.

Violet reluctantly agrees to marry Olaf if it means saving Sunny.

Gustav tells Jacquelyn that Monty was expecting the kids and that they should not be in the care of Olaf.

Violet makes a device to take her up to Sunny, but Hook man catches her.

The kids then resort to making molotov cocktails, but are interrupted.

Sunny wins a poker game and manages to get Hook to untie her and tie himself up.

Violet reveals the marriage is a sham because she signed with her left hand.

Olaf makes a getaway, and the kids are sent to Uncle Monty's.

Gustav is murdered while on the phone to Jacquelyn.

The parents try to escape from captivity.
