When you watch Madam Secretary Season 2 Episode 3 online you'll see how much impact one photo can make. Elizabeth travels to Russia for President Ostrov's funeral, but has ulterior motives to get Prime Minister Gorev on her side so they can start peace talks between Russia and America. Things are going smoothly until Blake decides to be diplomatic and take a photo with an older man outside of the embassy, but the photo quickly goes viral and the man is wearing a Nazi shirt with anti-Russian sayings on it. Gorev immediately puts an end to any talks they may have because Elizabeth needs to leave Russia right after the funeral, but Elizabeth convinces Gorev that someone has set them up and she is determined to have these talks. Gorev is convinced and Elizabeth has a successful meeting with the various Generals and it looks like talks between America and Russia are on the horizon. Unfortunately at the funeral, Maria Ostrov, the President's widow, takes the stand and tears apart Elizabeth and the United States and essentially declares a warning of war because of the photo. Elizabeth quickly leaves the country and President Dalton is now convinced, thanks to Craig, they need to declare war on Russia. Don't feel bad if you missed out!
