Recap

Two men discover a body while fishing in Cowan Creek in New South Wales.

Evie teases J.D. for wearing an NCIS cap.

Everyone brought coffee in bulk to the office.

Mackey wants to drive but she gets in on the wrong side of the car for Australia.

The victim is Staff Sgt. Lee Mitchell, a Navy compliance officer.

Rosie concludes Mitchell was dead before he went into the creek. He died of snake bites.

What's strange is that the snake is a taipin, a desert dweller that lives nowhere near where the body was found.

It was among the exotic animals recently stolen from Natureland Animal Clinic.

Mitchell's coworkers at the supply depot appear to be lying about him.

Blue determines that Mitchell died at the Community Hall in Terrey Hills.

Rosie gives Blue advice about how to communicate with Mackey.

DeShawn comes face to face with the taipan in a crawlspace under the building.

But inside Evie finds trash cans filled with dead exotic animals.

The smugglers trapped Mitchell in that crawlspace with the taipan.

Evie is using experimental gait-tracking technology to locate who at the supply depot was in Mitchell's crew.

Blue bonds with the kookaburra recovered from the theft.

Mackey finds a formula written all over Mitchell's kitchen table.

Blue determines that Mitchell was tracking someone's phone.

Mitchell was tracking the smugglers. Tommy, one of the smugglers, is about to give up his boss's name when he is shot in the head.

Blue figures out that the robbery crew is skimming off Navy gear and using the driver's body weight to keep that from being noticed.

The rifle used to kill Tommy is one of 28 that was stolen.

The commander of the depot was in on the skimming.

A deal to sell the rifles is happening at Natureland. The owner is in on it and Evie and DeShawn get captured.

Mackey and J.D. arrive but are outgunned. DeShawn grabs Evie's backup piece and distracts the armed smuggler by shooting a case and freeing snakes.

J.D.: Grab a double jumbo on the go.
Rosie: What's a double jumbo?
J.D.: Unclear at this point.

Evie: Yikes! I think they call that drinking the Kool-Aid.
J.D.: I'm pretty sure they call it a cap.
Evie: Sucking up to the new boss. Smart.
J.D.: You get more with honey than vinegar, Evie. You'll learn that when you grow up.
Evie: Ah! Thanks, Pop.
