Hopper is trapped in the tunnel and passes out, but Will has a vision of Hopper in a dire state. Joyce gets Bob to help her. He notices the scribbles are showing the vines in Hawkins. 

Nancy and Jonathan visit Murray for help, and he tells them it will be best to omit parts of the story to make it more believable to the public. He says to blame Barb's death on the toxins from the lab. 

Lucas tells Max everything, but she is initially in disbelief about all of it, but then realizes he is telling the truth. 

Dustin traps Dart and gets Steve to help him take the creature out, but they realize he has ran through a hole and into the depths below. 

Eleven finds Terry and finds out all about her pain by going inside her memories. She finds out that her mother was made that way by Brenner after learning he had stolen her daughter. 

Joyce, Bob, Will and Mike save Hopper, but the laboratory workers show up and try to set fire to the vines, and makes Will collapse in agony.
