On the morning of Annie's birthday, Dana Sue and Ronnie discuss their vow renewal. Dana Sue doesn't want to use the check on it and wants to help the community.

After the disagreement about CeCe, Ryan wants to lie down some ground rules, which Helen thinks sounds like a negotiation. She doesn't need to be fixed and wants him to stay because he desires to.

Bill and Kyle run into Mary Vaughn and Nellie at the mall, where she informs them that she and the children are moving to Castlewood.

Jackson rushed over to be the first person to wish Annie a happy birthday. When Kyle sees the desk his grandfather built, he gets sad thinking of writing Nellie love letters.

Annie's party is a hit. Lily tries to distract her from missing Jackson. Ryan tells Ronnie and Cal he needs the right job, and the guys toast to their wonderful women.

Dana Sue wants to honor Ms. Frances and help Serenity with the money. She and Helen discuss starting a foundation for those that need assistance.

Ty calls Annie up on stage and sings a song he wrote to celebrate her 16th birthday.

Kathy crashes the party and interrupts the party. She insists she wanted to be friends, but Dana Sue never let her. Paula tries to calm her down, so she starts hurling insults at her too.

By the time Ronnie makes her leave, Annie was crying. Ty chases after her.

Ryan and Helen argue about Kathy at home since he feels compassion for her trying to belong and always feels judged.

Ronnie is furious that Kathy wrecked Annie's day and is grateful Ty cheered Annie up. Ty took Annie to see Jackson, but after he had to distract Mary Vaughn, he refused to be the taxi service again.

The ladies are shocked Helen let CeCe move in, and Maddie wonders how Ryan felt about it. She touched a nerve as Helen kept defending her relationship with Ryan.

Dana Sue told Maddie to butt out, but she kept pushing, and Helen broke down and kicked them both out.
