Culp tells Danner that Germain has just landed.

With Zoe in the room, Danner interviews Maggie.

Maggie exclaims that the night was so much fun. She explains that her babysitter Veronica had an emergency, so she dropped her off at the school. They found Zoe hugging and possibly kissing a man (Aniq).

Maggie notes that the man was nice and did funny voices with her koala, Kevin. When leaving the parking lot with Brett, Maggie pointed out that the silly man still had her koala, and she wanted it back, so they drove fast to follow them.

Maggie mentions that she asked for fruit snacks, but her dad never gave her any. Brett told her to wait in the car upon arriving at the afterparty. A caterer asks if he's going to leave her in the car unattended. Brett punches him in the nose and then heads upstairs.

Then, Maggie waited a very long time. She was bored, so she went up to tell Brett that she didn't get any fruit snacks. Maggie gets to the main floor of the party, and it's so much fun. Everyone is dancing and having a good time.

Aniq is lying on the floor. Using Ned's pen, Maggie draws a cat face on him.

Maggie sees the poster for Hungry Hungry Hippos, her favorite movie, and starts describing a scene where the two explorers are stalking hippos by a river. Will Forte's character creates a sphere of energy and light that he throws into the water.

The hippo appears and begins charging at Xavier and Will Forte. Danner stops Maggie and asks her to get back to the original story.

Maggie continues to explore the party when she sees Brett talking to Zoe. Brett spies Maggie and runs off after her. Maggie runs away, grabs a blonde wig from Xavier's props, puts it on, and plays hide and seek.

She grabs a jar of candy and takes it to the recording studio, where she turns up all the levels on the mixing board. Maggie dances on the balcony. Brett spots her and recognizes her. She takes off the wig and tosses it over the balcony.

Brett finds Maggie in the screening room and takes her back to the car, strapping her back into the car seat. Maggie says she saw her mom with the singing man, which he assumes is Xavier. He says he has one more thing to do before they go home.

Danner asks for clarification on how Brett sounded here, and Maggie tells her that her dad used his "thunder voice." Brett stomps away. Maggie says there was then some screaming, and then she fell asleep.

Zoe intervenes, trying to protect Maggie from the murder discussion. Maggie says she did see one more "bad" thing. Maggie says she saw Jennifer #2 pee on the floor. Maggie heard Jennifer #2 say, "My water broke," and then she left the party.

Maggie insists it was pee because it was coming from inside her dress. Danner asks Culp to call all the local hospital maternity wards. Danner thanks Maggie and gives her a high five.

Danner asks Zoe how long she and Chelsea were away from the stairs when they were speaking. Zoe says maybe a minute.

Danner tells Culp she has to go up and check Xavier's room, and then she'll be able to make an arrest. Culp asks her under his breath who did it. Danner tells him to gather everyone up in the living room.

Zoe and Maggie head back to the living room. Aniq asks her how it went. Zoe tells him that she believes that Danner thinks Brett did it.

Yasper comes up to Aniq, remarking how he always knew Brett had to have done it. Brett tries to talk to Zoe, but she ignores him. Culp tells everyone to stay in the room. Aniq doesn't think Brett did it.

Danner heads back to the living room and announces that she knows who the killer is. Jennifer #1 interrupts to tell everyone that Jennifer #2 has just had her baby and she's doing great. Danner angrily pulls the focus back to her announcement.

Danner goes through who could have done it -- Chelsea, the last admitted person to see Xavier alive.

Everyone agrees Chelsea is a bit off, but Danner says it couldn't have been her because Indigo saw Chelsea and Zoe talking while Xavier poured the flask's contents out onto Jennifer #1 (which everyone thought was pee at the time).

Everyone saw one more person go up the stairs. Danner asked herself if there was time for someone else to go up the stairs. During the one minute where Chelsea and Zoe went to check on Aniq, three people were not in the room -- Walt, Maggie, and Brett.

Maggie was asleep (and a child), so she couldn't have done it. Danner remarks that nobody ever noticed Walt, so he could have easily snuck up those stairs. Walt insists he didn't do it. Danner asks Walt where he was at the time.

When he can't answer, she tells everyone -- he was in the bathroom, getting ready to streak, as a way to be remembered. Walt is surprised that she knew this.

Danner explains it was because Ned and Jennifer #1 were trying to get in there to wash the not-pee out, but someone was taking too long, and there was a bathrobe on the floor when Aniq and Yasper went in.

Walt had come out of the bathroom naked as the screams began, with everyone on the balcony looking at Xavier's body, and he went right back in.

Danner says this leaves two suspects -- Aniq, the original suspect, who they know went upstairs, and Brett, who had been missing until after the body was discovered.

Danner declares that it was Brett. There are mixed reactions. Ned is distraught. Jennifer #1 remembers that Brett wasn't in the living room and agrees with Danner. Brett tells her to shut up. Danner lists off the reasons -- Brett was mad at Xavier for macking on Zoe, assaulted Aniq and a caterer, and has serious anger issues.

Brett is adamant that he did not do it. Aniq mentions to Yasper that the timing doesn't seem right. Though his memory is foggy, Aniq remembers seeing Brett by the front door at the time of the murder. Yasper whispers that if Aniq gets Brett off, Aniq is the only other suspect, and he'll go to jail.

Brett asks Zoe to defend him as a person. She is flustered and cannot. Aniq steps forward, says Brett didn't do it, and tells everyone what he saw. Danner asks if Aniq is confessing. Aniq says no, but he can't let Brett take the fall when he couldn't have done it.

Brett asks why Aniq would stick up for Brett when he hated him. Aniq admits he didn't like most of them, but he realizes they are not bad people after listening to their stories. It comes out that Aniq was listening in on all the stories, and Danner explains how he did that.

Aniq says his point is that they all need each other. Brett apologizes for all the things he said about Aniq in the interview. Aniq says the door has closed on him, then realizes something -- the closet door.

Danner smugly tells him he took long enough to figure it out. Aniq explains that in every story he heard, the closet door in Xavier's room was closed, but when he went up, it was open. Someone was hiding in the closet.

Danner says that when Aniq hid in the recording booth during her interview with Chelsea, it helped her figure it out.

Culp is now confused, as it's neither Brett nor Aniq, and Danner just said it was Brett. Danner explains that she knew Brett didn't do it, but it was a test, and now she's sure it wasn't Aniq. Zoe asks who did it.

Danner looks to Yasper.

She explains that he was the only one who could have been hiding in the closet. She says he distracted everyone with the video so they wouldn't hear Xavier scream. Yasper asks her to explain.

Everyone said he came in from the balcony when the video came on, except for in his story. Danner says she knew it had to be him.

She speculates that when he was doing the A-V installation in Xavier's house a few months back, he started snooping around in Xavier's files and came across track twelve -- "How Great Is This Party?"

She posits that he was jealous of Xavier's stardom. Yasper insists that he was cool with it and that they were friends. She says they were not friends.

FLASHBACK: Xavier and Yasper talk at the bar in the gym. Xavier tells Yasper he has real nerve to ask him to bless his track after dumping him to start a solo career. Yasper insists that "How great is this party?" was his idea.

Xavier accuses Yasper of looking through his private tracks. Xavier tells him that they are not friends and that Yasper is a loser. Yasper says he is not a loser and asks Xavier not to tell anyone this conversation happened. Xavier responds with a dismissive, "Yeah, sure, whatever."

Danner says this is the point where Yasper snapped. She suggests that Yasper planned to kill Xavier, steal the song and release it as a collab, with Xavier as his Tupac.

Yasper accuses her of making up fanciful stories. She says he was the one making up stories, like when he told Chelsea he was in the recording studio. Yasper insists he was in the studio listening to music.

Danner asks how he could have been listening to music without blasting it all over the house. Maggie had gone in there earlier and turned the faders up, and they were still that way when Danner started her interview with Aniq. Also, Yasper had said he didn't come out until after Aniq came out.

Danner suggests Yasper took an alibi selfie, Brett came in and asked about Maggie, and the Yasper left quickly. Danner theorizes that Yasper snuck upstairs while Xavier was doing his balcony speech and started flicking the lights, which made Xavier go upstairs to check.

Yasper hid in the closet as Xavier came up. Chelsea then came in, and Yasper only came out when Chelsea left. Yasper put on the Ska-pe Diem video. Xavier pulled out his phone to turn it off, and Yasper grabbed it from him. Yasper punched Xavier and pushed him off the balcony.

Yasper insists that he and Xavier were friends, mentioning the texts, and hands Danner his phone.

Danner notes that Culp helped her solve this one. In the package-thief murder, Vaughn got his wife to come to the door by texting her and then deleted the text after killing her. Danner figures Yasper knew Xavier's password and sent the text from Xavier's phone to himself. Before tonight, Xavier had never texted him back.

Using his gymnastic skills, Yasper had jumped down from the upper balcony and come in that way, not down the stairs. The snag in his plan was that Aniq wanted to confront Xavier, and Yasper had tried to stop him, to protect him.

Yasper accuses Danner of having all these insane theories but no evidence. Aniq realizes there was evidence -- the security camera footage. When Culp and Danner "deleted" the footage accidentally, Yasper pretended to tweet about the police, but he was deleting the footage through Xavier's phone.

Aniq remembers that the phone Yasper was using at that point didn't have the green case with "YASPER" in gold letters. Yasper asks why he would steal and keep Xavier's phone.

Aniq thinks it was probably to steal Xavier's song ideas from his phone memos. When Aniq caught Yasper in the shower, he must have been recording them from Xavier's phone onto his own phone.

Yasper swears he doesn't have Xavier's phone. Culp searches Yasper and finds two phones. Yasper insists one if for business one is for friends. Danner calls Xavier's phone, and it rings on Yasper. Some people cheer, but Zoe and Aniq look miserable.

Yasper explains that Xavier owed him everything -- Yasper should have been the one to be famous.

Yasper makes a run for it, but Culp catches him and cuffs him. Yasper insists to Aniq that he was trying to help create doubt. Aniq tells him that a friend wouldn't do this.

Danner explains to Aniq that she had to make sure he wasn't in cahoots with Yasper, hence the Brett accusation. Danner gives Aniq her card, saying she could recommend him at the department if he ever wanted to solve real puzzles. He hands her his very wet card.

Danner slips on Jenn #2's amniotic fluid as she leaves. As Culp leads Yasper out, a crowd of journalists and media has formed. Yasper is delighted at the attention and tells them to listen to his music and follow him on social media.

The Captain and Detective Germain appear. Danner tells them she got the killer with a full confession. She leaves. Culp puts Yasper in the vehicle and tells the Captain he's just going back into the house real quick.

Everyone leaves the house. Jennifer #1 apologizes for being so mean to Chelsea. Chelsea says she doesn't care, but they are not friends. Brett hugs Maggie. Chelsea says goodbye to Walt, who is thrilled she remembered his name. Walt notes that it's his birthday.

Culp takes some of Xavier's framed platinum records as "evidence." Aniq and Zoe leave together to get breakfast. Maggie remarks that she likes the silly man.

In Yasper's green rental car, Zoe and Aniq find a nice spot to park. Zoe asks if he's going to make a move. He says it didn't feel like the best time. Nevertheless, they kiss, and Walt interrupts from the backseat asking if they could drop him off.
