The morning after Natalie's quince, Vanessa and Mateo wake up and realize what they've done. Before they can even settle on a plan of action, Daniel knocks on the door of her showing property. 

Mateo escapes through the bathroom as Vanessa chats with Daniel, who wants her to take a look through his job offer from Thomas Gold. 

Daniel realizes that Vanessa's still wearing the same outfit she had on at Natalie's party. He assumes she spent the night with Marlow and leaves quickly. 

At Noa Corp, Noa has turned into Miranda Priestley from The Devil Wears Prada; she's ruthless, cold, and short with everyone. 

Lewis and Piper tell her she does this every time she gets her heart broken. Putting up walls is a pattern, but Noa disagrees. Yet, the more she thinks about it, the more she considers the possibility. 

She calls Colin, her famous ex, for a little catch-up. Lewis and Piper think she's "doing it again" and falling into old habits, but Noa simply wants to clear the air and make amends. 

She tells Colin about her breakup and the new role, and he suggests she go to Morocco prior to production starting to find herself and figure out what she wants. 

Noa agrees that's a good idea and plans to leave that evening. 

As the Garcia family plans to open their cafe, Rick Jameson, a property investor, walks through the door and tells them he wants to buy the place. 

Rafael and Mari inform him they cannot make any decisions without talking to their children first. 

Daniel and Mateo don't seem to have any objections considering they're moving on with their lives, however, Natalie is not impressed. Her answer? Absolutely not. 

She becomes suspicious of the buyer and visits Vanessa during her open house to ask if she's heard of him. 

While she's there, she finds Mateo's necklace. Vanessa tells her to give it back to him. 

Natalie presents her findings to the family - Jameson works for a billion-dollar real estate trust called Cooper and Sons. He acts as an intermediary to get the company a good deal. In place of their bakery, they plan to remove local businesses and bring in national chains. 

With the new job offer and the possibility of his family selling the bakery, Daniel begins to think he made a mistake turning Noa down. 

He has a heart-to-heart with Mateo who informs him that he needs to fight for the right woman. He's obviously referring to himself and Vanessa while giving the advice, but Daniel doesn't know that yet. 

Daniel decides to take his brother's advice and go visit Noa at work, but he doesn't even get off the elevator as he sees her hugging Colin. 

In reality, Noa is telling Lewis that Daniel broke her heart and she needs to move on. 

Natalie hears Mateo singing a new song, possibly his next single, and walks into his room. She tells him she likes the song and reaches into her pocket to give him the necklace he left at Vanessa's. One look at his face and she realizes that he slept with Vanessa. 

"Wait, do you like her?" she asks her brother. Mateo assures her that he's crazy about Vanessa. 

Natalie leaves him with some advice: if she feels the same way, they need to tell Daniel. If she doesn't, he takes this to the grave. 

Jameson comes back to the bakery. Despite the Garcia's saying that he couldn't put a price on their legacy, the amount he offers is very convincing. 

Amy tells Natalie to consider the good that might come from selling the bakery, and it convinces Natalie to get on-board with the sale. 

The Garcia family comes together to make a pastry, but the sweet moment is interrupted when Daniel gets a call from Lewis, who encourages him to get over to her office before she leaves for Morocco. 

Daniel informs him that he saw her with Colin and that they "make sense," but Lewis doesn't want to hear any of that. 

Neither do Daniel's parents, who tell him that what makes sense it to follow his heart. 

Daniel and Mateo get in the family truck and make their way to Noa Corp, but by the time they get there, it's too late because Noa has already left for the airport. 

Lewis hops into the truck and they make their way to the airport when Mateo gets an angry call from Vanessa. 

He doesn't want to pick it up, but Lewis does it for him, and she's furious because she just found out that he purposefully embrrassed her in front of Marlow. She asks him if he did it just to sleep with her, which is when she realizes she's on speaker. 

Daniel pulls over the car and orders Mateo to get out in the middle of the street. He then asks Mateo if he's serious about Vanessa, and he realizes his brother truly loves her. 

He gets Mateo a rental scooter and tells him to go get the girl while he goes to get his. 

Lewis and Daniel hustle through the airport as Lewis shouts "stupid man in love," but unfortunately, they don't make it to the gate in time. 

However, Noa is rethinking her trip and gets off the plane. She and Daniel run into each other outside of the gate and make out passionately. 

"What's next for us?" she asks him, but we don't need to wait too long to find out. The couple arrives at the Garcia house with news -- they're engaged.

All this before Daniel could even be the deciding vote about the bakery, which now stands at 2-2 to sell and to stay. 

Mateo is also there, and things didn't turn out as great for him as they did for Daniel. While his music career may be right on track, his attempt to get the girl fails when Vanessa opens the door and reveals Marlow is at her place. 

Both of them seem to share the feeling of disappointment. Hopefully, we'll get a season 2!
