Boba Fett is in pursuit of an Imperial ship with the mad scientist, Dr. Pershing - a clone engineer -- aboard. He hits the ship with an ion cannon and comes aboard.

Din and Boba find Bo-Katan in a bar with her cohort,.Koska, to ask for help to find the Child and retrieve from Moff Gideon. Bo-Katan thinks the Child cannot be found. After Boba and Koska have a spat, Din convinces them to help by offering it will help Bo-Katan regain Mandalore.

Bo-Katan agrees so she can acquire the Imperial light cruiser and attempt to regain Mandalore. She also plans to take back her Darksaber from Moff.

Now that the group has kidnapped Dr. Pershing, he gives them useful information for their quest.

They find the Imperial light cruiser in the Imperial ship they hijacked with the doctor and board.

Lots of fighting and Boba finds Grogu. He is being guarded by Moff Gideon with the dark saber..

Moff and Din come to an agreement, since Moff has the Child's blood to study already, Din can take him. But he must leave the shp immediately and not try to take the Darksaber.

But alas, Moff then attacks Din with the saber which cannot cut through beskar.

Din wins the fight and spares Moff's life to take him to Bo-Katan. But Moff explains that Din -- having won the Darksaber in combat -- cannot yield the saber to Bo-Katan. It must be won in combat or it holds no power.

Just then, a platoon of dark troopers flies in for attack.

An X-wing suddenly arrives. The dark troopers stop trying to enter the command cockpit.

A Jedi disembarks, eliminating the troopers.

Moff grabs a blaster and shoots at Din. Cara beats him up.

The mystery of the surprsie Jedi is revealed. It's Luke Skywalker, who attempts to take Grogu. Grogu doesnot want to leave Din, though, and needs his permission.

R2-D2 enters and communicates with Grogu.Luke, R2-D2, and Grogu exit.

After the ending credits, in Jabba the Hutt's former palace -- presently, Bib Fortuna's -- Fennec and Boba Fett attack Bib Fortuna and his posse. He kills Bib and takes his throne.
