Recap

The elimination ceremony picks right back up from the cliffhanger. Joi's phone gives her a green screen.

Osei's screen turns red. Osei is eliminated from the competition for having the most wrong answers during the quiz.

Alex Wagner walks Osei out of the compound. The rest of the group is shocked over the elimination; others are worried because they're unsure how well they did on the quiz.

The contestants travel to Brisbane, Australia, for their new mission. While in the cars, the players discuss who is lying and playing.

Avori believes Pranav is her friend and isn't The Mole.

The group arrives at an abandoned prison. Alex Wagner brought them to an iconic abandoned prison in the city. She asks the group to select the two players they trust the most; they will be the "masterminds" of the mission.

In confessional, Kesi wants to select the two people she trusts the least, so they're exposed. She pitches Avori and Pranav. The group chooses Dom as the first mastermind (Joi first nominated him). The group chooses Casey as the second mastermind because she knows a lot about the group.

Alex Wagner reveals the mission is a prison break. The masterminds have to divide the group into three groups of three. The first group is Sandy, Jacob, and Pranav in Cell Block F. Team #2 is William, Avori, and Samara in Cell Block E. Team #3 is Greg, Joi, and Kesi in Cell Block D.

If all three groups escape in 1 hour, the entire group wins $10,000. If even one group doesn't make it out, they all lose. Each player is locked in their own cell at first; each has the same supplies to break out.

In Cell Block D, Joi tells Kesi that she can't see anything outside her prison door. However, there's a key at the foot of the door.

In Cell Block E, William has a game of magnetic chess set in his room. He's not sure how the pieces will be used.

In Cell Block F, Jacob notices a key is outside his door. Sandy, from across the hall, tries throwing things from her door opening to push the key to Jacob. Her throws are unsuccessful.

Alex Wagner offers the masterminds a deal to double the pot if they sacrifice 10 minutes from the clock. Casey is hesitant to take time away, but Dom wants to do it and encourages her. They agree to the deal.

In Cell Block D, Kesi is suspicious of Joi because she's not giving any information.

In Cell Block E, William notices the ring outside his door. Samara tells him that it looks like a hair tie. He presses again, but she's adamant there isn't a key on it.

In Cell Block F, Jacob successfully gets his key and unlocks his door. He gives Sandy items, and she gets the key in her room. She escapes as well.

Pranav's room included photos of past criminals. Sandy uses the clues to find a key hidden in a bible.

Pranav escapes his room. Cell Block F members escape and rejoin the masterminds.

In Cell Block E, William decides to tie a magnetic chess piece to a blanket. He successfully gets the key and escapes his room. He helps Avori solve her clue and get out of her room.

Avori and William work together, trying to build a stool for Samara to stand on.

Outside, Dom is suspicious of the Cell Block D members. He feels they're the most Mole-like quality. Alex Wagner offers them another deal: spend $1,000 to give them a clue. Dom declines, but Casey pushes him to take the deal.

Alex calls Kesi and gives her a clue about how to retrieve the key outside her room. Kesi is upset and suspicious of Joi for not seeing the key.

Kesi grabs the key and escapes her room. She solves Greg's clue and helps him escape the room. Both run to Joi's room and throws the stool furniture to her to reach the key.

Alex offers Dom and Casey another deal: spend $5,000 to add 5 more minutes into the clock. Dom is hesitant, but Casey pushes and agrees to deal regardless.

Joi successfully reaches the key in her room. Cell Block D successfully escapes with only 5 seconds left.

The group won $14,000 from completing the mission. The total pot is $26,500.

During the next day, Pranav and Jacob discuss possible targets. Jacob isn't as suspicious of Sandy anymore. William is highly suspicious of Samara for not seeing the key outside his cell.

The group is invited to a night out, but it's revealed as another mission as their GPS sends them to the middle of nowhere.

Alex Wagner, over the intercom, tells Car #1 folks to go to Sector 31. Alex tells Car #2 to go to Sector 45. In each room is a lab with a computer looking for a password.

Alex unveils their next mission: do nothing for 45 minutes and earn $10,000. However, if one group successfully finds the password and presses the red button, that group will win an exemption from the next quiz and lose $10,000. The caveat is that one person must always stay on the phone; the groups can talk with each other every 10 minutes.

The Sector 45 group tries to find the password. They find the periodic table in the next room and try the first code, but it's not successful. After the second failed attempt, they only have one more attempt. The Sector 31 group initially decided not to look for the clue.

During the phone call, Greg lied to the other group and said they weren't looking. Sector 45 was wrong again and was locked out for 1 minute.

Dom is suspicious of Greg and demands to hear from everyone in the Sector 45 group. Pranav tries to talk to Dom; Greg sends Casey to grab the other members, but Casey bails and doesn't come back. The Sector 31 group decides they can't trust the others and go looking for the password.

Just as Alex Wagner gives everyone a big clue, Sector 45 gets locked out during a wrong guess. Both teams discover the answer is "Salvation."

Both teams input the answer and hit the button. It's left on a cliffhanger for which team got it first.

The Mole Season 6 Episode 2 Quotes

Greg: My strategy is to not lie.
Kesi: So, you haven’t lied once?
[Awkward silence before they all laugh]
Greg: Okay, maybe I’ve lied.
Sandy: You had to think about that one.

[In confessional] I fully trust and believe at this point that Pranav is my friend and not The Mole.
