When you watch The Mysteries of Laura Season 1 Episode 18 online you'll see how far someone will go to be close to the one their obsessed with. Laura and Billy investigate the recent murder of a naval officer and the Navy isn't pleased about them poking around. While on the ship Laura pretends she is sick and convinces them to let her go to the bathroom, but she instead snoops around the officers cabin and finds some bloody towels. Before she can snoop around any longer a couple of Navy officers come into the cabin and take Laura and Billy to the captain of the ship. The captain lets them know he isn't pleased about them thinking one of his officers murdered someone and sends them away. At the station Jake lets them know the towels they found actually had shark blood on them and the captain of the ship has asked they not return. Laura agrees and instead figures out they can talk with the sailors by going to one of the bars that is having a fleet week special. Meredith and Frankie go to talk to some of the sailors and after some digging they found out the officer was in a relationship with a woman named Nancy, but when they go to her apartment they find out she is pretending to be a completely different person. When they bring Nancy in for questioning they realize she has some mental illness and instead bring in her doctor who confirms Nancy has some paranoia issues and is convinced someone is watching her. When Nancy is watching one particular show her cable constantly goes out and she has to go to her neighbors house and this further convinces Nancy someone is after her. Meredith and Frankie remember Nancy's neighbor, Dwayne, and realize he is the one cutting Nancy's cables because he's obsessed with her. Laura and her team do some digging around Dwayne's apartment and find he murdered two of the men who were "dating" Nancy. They trick him into meeting Nancy at a local bar and he further incriminates himself and is arrested for murder.
