Moiraine and Lan lead the four villagers to safety, but are being followed constatnly by the Dark One and an army of Trollocs.

They find a boat to gross a deep river, as deep water is the only thing that scares trollocs, meaning they will not be followed until another way is found.

Moiraine's injury is getting worse, and she is getting weaker as the four villagers start to question themselves and their journey.

Egwene stands up for Moiraine, pointing out that Moiraine injured herself for the sake of saving the village, which makes Rand, Perrin, and Mat shut up.

Lan makes sure they all keep moving and follow Moiraine.

Egwene learns that Moiraine cannot heal herself, and that she may not tell the full truth, but still tells the truth, to skirt the bond of the oath.

Perrin starts to see wolves following him everywhere, and does not know if they're real or in his mind.

The Trolloc army eventually catches up to the group, but Moiraine has grown so weak that she is unable to ride, and Lan carries her on his horse.

Lan brings the group to a walled city that the Trollocs do not follow them into, and later it's learned that this city is deadly.

An unexplained dark entitty starts disentagrating all things living, starting with their horses.

The group tries to run to safety, but gets split up.

Perrin and Egwene try to find a way out, Rand and Mat go the other way to avoid being killed, and Lan takes Moiraine out of the city.

Eventually, our villagers make their way through the entirety of the city, and mangage to escape just in the knick of time.

Now seperated, they don't know what to do, so agree to head east towards their intended destination.

Lan saved Moiraine but deserted everyone else.

Moiraine is doing horribly.

Lan doesn't seem to be doing too well either, as Nyaneave appears, alive, and holds a knife to his throat.
