Somen Banerjee works at a gas station, and he declines when his boss approaches him about a promotion. Instead, he takes the money he's earned since coming to America and opens up a backgammon club.

The backgammon club struggles to take off, and one night he meets Paul Snider and his girlfriend Dorothy Stratten there. Claiming to be a club promoter, Somen, now going by Steve, gives Paul a percentage of the club if he'll come on board to help with promotion.

The club undergoes various changes, and once Steve discovers that Paul hasn't been truthful with him, he drops his percentage in the club.

Steve gets the idea to turn the club into a male revenue, and he and Paul hire dancers.

The club becomes a success, and one night choreographer Nick De Noia comes in to check it out. Steve later meets with the man and asks him to whip the show into shape.

Paul and Dorothy argue over lunch after a famous movie director approaches Dorothy.

The club is re-opened after Nick's change to the show, and Dorothy suggests that the men wear cuffs and collars.

After the successful evening, Steve calls Paul and Dorothy, unaware they are both dead.
