Recap

Taissa and Van are in the woods again. Tai found another tree. Van wants to talk to Lottie about it, but Tai refuses. When Tai walks off, Van pulls out a map she's been keeping documenting the trees' locations.

In the present, Tai is in her car inside of her own head. She seems to be remembering what she's done without knowing about it, but she's driven very far and has run out of gas. Beside her is a file, and inside of it is a photo of a small business. She gets out to walk.

Shauna tells Jeff that the tow company found their van on the side of the road. How lucky are we?

Shauna asks Jeff about the socks he likes since he's going to Kohls, and Jeff replies that the cops know about her affair. It's a small town. She should have run around in a ski mask, she says.

Natalie finds Lottie preparing to leave the compound. She needs the keys because she's going to help Lisa at the farmer's market and to bond since she forgave her for stabbing her in the face.

Misty wonders again why Tai and Shauna aren't returning her calls. Walter says she has her friends' backs relentlessly. He's got music for her to listen to if she wants. But she takes it as him being a Yellojackets fanatic trying to get her story. He says he wanted to know her for her investigation skills and because she dropped a Sweeney Todd reference in one of her posts. He says he doesn't care about the Yellowjackets and that it's the least interesting thing about her.

Apparently, he loves musicals, too.

At the cabin, Shauna is calling out whoever took some of the bear meat. When she storms off, the others blame Ben, to which he responds, what if it has been me? Would you eat me? Mari then blames Natalie since she won't let Lottie bless her before she hunts. Natalie points out that nobody else is even trying, but Mari is a smug little bitch and just piles it on. They're all certain that any food they've had has come because of Lottie.

Natalie suggests a contest. How about just Natalie and Lottie go out for food to see who comes back with more meat. After all, according to everyone else, Lottie is better than a hunter.

Natalie chats with Lisa about their illusion of freedom, which allows the members to come and go as they please almost because it guarantees they will come back. Natalie is like, what so it just so happens that everyone's favorite color is purple? Lisa says she understands that Natalie doesn't believe in it, and she didn't at first, either.

Lottie's therapist Dr. Graham has taken a sabbatical without telling her. The replacement says she's been coming once every six months for ages, and she's not due for another five weeks. What's up? Lottie wants her meds increased. Lottie says she's having visions again for the first time in decades, and they need to stop. The last time, it became something different, and it can't happen again. She's worked very hard and has built something that is helping people. It's helping her.

The doctor says to reframe how she views the visions. She needs to ask herself what they're trying to tell her. Lottie says they're trying to tell her nothing since they're not real.

At the cabin, Natalie and Lottie are preparing to hunt. Mari says Lottie doesn't need a gun, so Natalie gets it. They set off separately in different directions. Once in the woods, Lottie stops and communes with nature or something. There is a sound behind her, so she withdraws her knife. She sees a tree with a symbol on it, and places her hand on the symbol. Fuck me, she says, shaking herself out of it.

Snow is falling from the trees. Natalie finds what appears to be a moose trail.

In the present, Shauna is at the mall. Someone says hi, and Shauna thanks her for having Callie over so often. Then she learns Callie hasn't been over there in weeks. Shauna goes home to investigate. In Callie's desk drawer, she finds the burned remnants of Adam's driver's license. Callie is texting and walking down the street when Shauna pulls alongside her beeping. She wants to go do something fun.

Misty and Walter at a restaurant, and his eating habits look disgusting. She wonders how he can afford to just be here. What about his job? He sued a scaffolding company for a freak accident that almost killed him (he's got a metal plate in his head), and he's a multi-millionaire.

A trucker pulls alongside Tai, offering her a ride. He's got a nudie pen, but she still jumps inside.

At the cabin, Mari hears dripping again. Akilah finds a little mouse.

In the woods, Lottie slices her hand and drips blood into the snow. Natalie has found something in the middle of the snow. It's a pond, and she rubs the snow away, saying holy fucking shit.

Lisa takes Natalie to her mom's house. She wants to see her fish. The other guy never lets Lisa stop. Natalie finds that odd. Lisa's mom is very happy to see her, and Lisa assures her that she is safe and happy. She's weaned herself off of medication, and that worries her mom. Lisa is confronting the feeling of depression and not numbing it. Her mom says, that's not a real routine. When Natalie butts in, the mom asks her to step outside.

Shauna has taken Callie far away, where there is no reception. Shauna confronts her about lying about not sleeping at Alana's. Is there anything else she's lying about that she needs to know? Callie throws it back at her. Callie wants to know if she killed Adam. No more secrets. Shauna says yes, she killed him. Callie is like WTF?? Then she says she KNEW dad was squeaky clean, so Shauna had to reveal that HE was the blackmailer. Callie doesn't understand what he has to blackmail her and her friends. Shauna said that they did things out there she's not ready to talk about with her. Can that be enough? Callie says yes, but she's struggling.

Shauna makes her promise she won't tell anyone, but we know she's been talking to Kevyn's partner. Eeek.

At the cabin, Van is sharing how she overlayed her drawing on Travis's map hoping Tai will see, but Taissa says it's just random. Van doesn't understand why she won't see what is right in front of her. She points to the map. If she's right, there should be a tree with a symbol at a certain point, and she wants Tai to go with her to find it.

Ben is thinking back to finding photos at Paul's apartment. Ben seems sad, so Paul asks if he has a box like that with meaningless, sentimental things. Ben says he doesn't have that history, so Paul reminds him that's all it is. Ben is his future.

Lisa tells her mom that she hasn't had an ideated suicide threat in months. Natalie barges in, angry that her mom doesn't see how her disappointment affects Lisa, but Lisa says it's not helping. Lisa apologizes for snapping, and Natalie shows her what she took from the house -- her fish.

Natalie asks a random person at the market where the purple people are since they aren't at the market. She wants to go, but Walter says it's getting late, so they should get a B&B.

Natalie runs into the cabin with news of what she found in the lake -- a moose right under a layer of ice. It would feed them for a long time. Mari says it's breaking the rules to help get it out, but nobody wants to starve, so rules be damned.

Meanwhile, Lottie finds a plane covered in snow. Inside is Laura Lee's bear and a cross necklace. She pulls up a panel in the back of the plane and climbs down to a shopping mall. The Yellowjacks sit in the food court, eating chinese food. Laura Lee says they got her food becuuse she looks hungry. When she picks up a fork to eat, Laura Lee asks if she doesn't want to say something first. The girls are kind of mean, but Laura Lee says she's got to go an get warm, or she'll die. Lottie falls back in the snow.

Everyone else is picking the ice around the moose. They've got a rope around the moose's horns, but they can't drag it up, and the moose falls to the bottom of the lake. Natalie cries, but we need it, as Travis holds her.

Natalie and Lisa are at a bar. Natalie almost takes a drink but stops herself.

Natalie and Walter check into a very large bed and breakfast. The rooms are swanky with baskets and roaring fires. They both clean their rooms, checking it for bugs. They're two halves of a whole.

Jeff tells Shauna he's trying to take the high road and get over the affair, but he's not over it. They both agree that despite the shitty state of affairs, they're going to be OK. Then Shauna tells Jeff she told Callie about Adam's murder. Jeff says they have to throw their fucking bodies in front of Callie to protect her, and now she's telling him that she's made her an accomplice.

Callie says she's been going to the park and drinking with a friend when she was supposed to be with Alana, but she won't do that anymore.

At the cabin, the girls drag Lottie inside and put her in a warm bath. It's a lot of water, and that takes a lot of time to gather. While Lottie soaks, Natalie reaches her hand. Good game.

Back at the compound, Lottie is trying to remind herself of her wellness, but she keeps seeing the missing Queen of Hearts from the cabin's card deck. She takes a knife outside, cuts her palm and drops her blood on a tree stump. "Can this just be enough? Please?"

As Van and Tai search for the next tree, they find the snow melting in spots. They find Javi running through the woods.

At the compound, Lisa shows everyone her fish, and Natalie twirls the keys in her hand.

At the cabin, Javi is out of it. He doesn't seem to recognize anyone. The group cheers Lottie for knowing he was alive, but Van says it was Taissa who knew where he was. She protests.

Taissa is at the store from the folder. It's actually a movie theater, and Van is at the desk.
