at .  Updated at .

Friday the 13th won't be too bad this year because it's the day Jane the Virgin Season 4 returns.

We'll find out what happened to Petra and Anezka, Jane and Adam, and Rafael and Luisa after those cliffhangers in season three.

And while newlyweds Rogelio and Xo will experience some trouble in paradise thanks to his pregnant ex Darci, it won't be all drama.

Executive Producer Jennie Snyder Urman reveals that Jane The Virgin Season 4 is all about "recapturing the joy."

We've included everything we know about the upcoming season below.

Remember, you can watch Jane the Virgin online to catch up!

1. It'll Be The Shortest Season Yet

Bad news Jane the Virgin lovers – season four will be the shortest season yet. The series episode order was cut from 22 to just 17 episode! But, despite the brand-new timeslot on Friday night's, the series isn't in any trouble. Executive Producer Jennie Snyder Urman assures fans, the shortened episode count was simply a mutual decision between her, The CW and CBS.

2. Petra is Breaking Out of Character

Where is the perfectly combed hair? The fashionable outfits? It seems Petra has traded all of that in for a mess 'do and a loose-fitting grey hoodie. Why? Last we saw Petra, she was going to meet Rafael to tell him that she still loved him but ended up coming face-to-face with Anezka. Her evil twinnie stole Raf's phone to lure her sister and was pointing a gun at her. Is Anezka pretending to be sister again in the new season?

3. Jane Might Not Be Over Rafael

In the season three finale, Jane realized she had some major feelings for Rafael. When Petra asks her if she's completely over her baby daddy in the season four trailer, Jane says, "a hundred percent is a big number." Sounds like a big ole' NO! The series loves "love triangles" and with the introduction of Adam, it's very possible. Plus, in the trailer, Jane is seen hopping into shower with what seems like Rafael!

4. Or Her First Love Adam

Speaking of Adam. In the season three finale, Jane goes to meet the man who found Michael's final note and realizes it's Adam, her first love. And first heartbreak. Is this fate? For those of you who are Team Rafael, you'll be swayed when you find out Tyler Posey takes on the role of the swoon-worthy ex. But know, it will change the course of Jane's life and how she views the idea of "meant to be."

5. Alex Meneses Joins as a Recurring Character

Former telenovela star Alex Meneses will feel right at home as recurring character Katherine. Katherine is the owner of Cortes Hotel Conglomerate and a possible investor in Petra and Rafael's hotel.

6. There's a New Mateo In Town

And people aren't happy about it. Joseph Sanders will no longer play Jane's son because Mateo will be a bit older when season four returns. Obviously, a lot of us grew to love toddler Mateo so this is quite a bummer but we're giving newcomer Elias Janssen a chance! Show us what you got kid!

7. Rafael Will Be Broke

Rafael is going through a lot of changes. Last we saw him, he was confronted by Luisa, who knew that he was written out of his father's will. She wants it all: the hotel, the money, his life. Everything he "took from her." In season four, Raf will be "penniless" and dependent on Jane. It'll be interesting to see how he handles it considering he's never lived without money before.

8. Jane Will Get Her "Author" On

Chilean-American author Isabel Allende will appear in one of the episodes as herself. With such a literary icon guest-starring, it's safe to say that Jane will still be heavily focused on her writing career! Does she get to co-author a book with her icon?!

Jane the Virgin Quotes

Jane: Oh, I'm no good at this stuff. So, instead of telling you the reasons that I love you, I'm going to tell you the reasons that I don't. I don't love you because you're smart and kind. I don't love you because you're hardworking and competitive and way too defensive.
Michael: I'm not defensive.
Jane: I don't love you because you're incredibly sexy. I love you because you're my best friend and I want to grow old with you. And right now, I am confused about every single thing in my life, except you.

Rafael: No, I really think we've met.
Jane: I don't usually wear clam shells.
Rafael: Oh, the strip club on Piscayne?
Jane: Jerk.
