Celia Rose Gooding is an American actress and singer and uses the pronouns they/them. They have won a Grammy as part of the Broadway cast of the rock musical Jagged Little Pill and were nominated for a Tony for their portrayal of Mary Frances "Frankie" Healy in the show. Their mother, LaChanze, is also a well-known singer, dancer, and actor. They currently play Nyota Uhura on Paramount+'s Star Trek: Strange New Worlds
