As an activist, Okonkwo is active with community banking as Ambassador for One United Bank, the largest Black-owned bank in the US. He is a member of the Master Artist Council of the Arthur Miller Foundation and works with the Children's Defense Fund to help eradicate child poverty.
TV fans will recognize Chiké from his roles in series, including Being Mary Jane, Hudson Falls, Banshee, and Paradox.
Chiké Okonkwo currently plays Ty Coleman on the NBC series La Brea.
