I wish ellen and chris the best. It is sad but true that as celebrities they represent all interracial couples - hope they stand up for themselves and do all black people and interracial race couples proud. maybe there will come a day when they can be judged on WHO they are not WHAT they are.

I can't believe some of the comments left on this page. Freedom of speech is attempting to be put to use I guess, but if you hate the couple and the celebrities (Chris or Ellen) in general because they aren't talented, then why have you looked them up and posted anything in regards to this article? I guess I don't understand narrow-minded logic. If people are happy, leave them alone. Anyone implying that God will burn them in hell has no place on this webpage and maybe should read the Bible. God created everyone!!!! As to the rude and hateful racism blatently displayed above, I am in shock! Take a world studies course to learn about another culture than your white upper-class neighborhood- you might learn something! I am a very good-looking black man here in Newport Beach, CA. and I think Ellen is GORGEOUS and I'm extremely happy to see that she is smart enough to settle down with someone who makes her happy! Great job, Chris!!!

Congrats to Ellen and Grey.
One thing that I truly admire about Grey's anatomy is the fact that many of the cast members seem to date outside their race. B/C people tend to follow hollywood trends, I wish more stars would date outside of their race.
Someone as gorgeous as Ellen could get her pick of any guy, both black and white. The fact that she chooses to be with Chris despite the ignorance still out there on such a relation and especially now that she's rich and famous, proves how deeply she loves him. Furthermore, if anyone cared to read the article, you would've seen that he had family in Italy, meaning he's not fully black.
I hope Ellen and Chris ignore such BS like that of Jonathan and Tillard. I wish them all the luck in world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So sad there's still such jealously,hatred,envy in this world. I am a black attractive successful accountant married to a white attractive successful pediatrician. We've been married going on 16yrs now and you'd think after ALL this time people around us would simply SHUT up and let us live our lives. It's obvious we're happy, in love and have a great family. People are so ignorant. I cannot tell you how man white woman are with TRULY OLD white men, but this is acceptable especially if he has money. No mentions the fact that Beyonce's boyfriend "Jazzy" looks more than the 12yrs her senior that he is. This is because these are within the same race. No one complains until the races are different. In my opinion Ellen Pompo isn't attractive AT all. She should be VERY lucky to have Chris in her like black or white. She just isn't pretty at all and if ANYONE's notice she has severe acne...Grow up people find your own LOVE and let others live & live. Jealously isn't becoming for anyone.

I am a black West-Indian American. I am a college professor and I have a Ph.D. in Psychology with a minor in Marketing. I also have my MBA in Marketing. I have dated both black and white women. My current girlfriend is white and she is a successful real estate agent with a degree in Accounting. I am not a pimp and she is certainly no whore. We are in love and she is proud to be at my side (as I am with her). None of these narrow minded idiots lacking in education and self esteem could demean our relationship.
Ignore them..eventually they will go away.

As for the last comment, people are not fruit. They are people that live and exist in a world filled with many cultures colors religious beliefs all under one sky. The reason we have violence is because some have lost faith in ever being happy. Why do you even care who a complete stranger to you marries? No one knows what tomorrow will bring but I can tell you this Jonathan, and Tillarid she would never choose you as a potential partner, your minds are closed and your hearts are empty....Congrats to the HAPPY couple, many years of joy and love and by all means have children!! This world needs more beautiful people in it.

you know...when i first read that they were engaged, I was so happy for them. It hadnt even occured to me that there might be issues due to their race, because, at least in my society, race is not an issue. But when i read the ignorant comments of people who clearly have never left the confines of their own little corner, I was shocked and disgusted. To imply that interracial marriages are "bad" and that the only way they work out is if they are whores and pimps is disgusting. Clearly, the minds of such ignorant people has still not progressed beyond the mental capacity of mice. Honestly, do you feel good about yourself when you say these things? its disgusting.

The world is better when people can fall in love and express it regardless of of what color, creed, or age they are. I wish them the best and hope that their marriage lasts.

Regardless of color, I have a feeling this relationship will be no different than many other hollywood hookups. If Ellen was smart, she'd marry outside the industry. Marrying someone in the music biz does not qualify. But, I hope I'm wrong and I hope they enjoy a long life together.

So I saw the couple and read the article and thought it was nice to see a Hollywood couple coming together and not breaking apart (though there is time for that to happen!) Anyway as I scrolled down to the bottom of the story I noticed the comment section and immediately thought "okay, there is going to be at least one racist chiming in." Sure enough Tillarid comes in to fill the role of a$$hole, injecting negativity in a string of comments that universally wished the couple well. At least descent non color obsessed folks vastly out number idiots like Tillarid both on this forum and increasingly in the world. Progress is good.

In response to a couple of opinions by tllaird and mega: opinions are free to share but tllaird's is very narrowminded; to say that all multiracial couples are whores and pimps shows that you yourself must only have exposed yourself to whores and pimps so you apparently are in the gutter to know those types of folk. Upstanding citizens know other upstanding citizens and the same is true for gutter trash......they assimilate to their own. Mega: grow up; compatibility has very little to do with how a couple look together. More importantly they connect by spirit and thats the only thing that will sustain a true relationship.... not two hotties hooking up..... write in when you graduate grammer school please!
