Oprah to Visit Grey's Anatomy Cast Friday

at . Comments

A fan from Illinois wrote today to inform us that one of her state's most famous residents will be paying a visit to the set of Grey's Anatomy.

That's right, Oprah Winfrey herself will be getting together with the cast and hosting a Grey's Anatomy special this Friday, November 17. This episode of Oprah's show is considered "a coast-to-coast fan party!"

This should be exciting as we rarely receive a glimpse behind the scenes and into the lives of Ellen Pompeo, Patrick Dempsey and the rest of our favorite actors and actresses. Set your TiVo/VCR if you can't watch it live!

First of all, thanks burke backer for responding to my question.(I read your comments a lot and you seem like a really nice person. You never seem to be offend when people write mean things about isaha And yes, I did notice that Patrick and the guys had their legs crossed. I loved the camping epsiode so I have no idea what the heck was Oprah's problem with it. And Ellen did seem at more ease with the girls.(I guess I read a little too much into the whole patrick and ellen thing but at the time my mom and I were watching it that's the vibe we were picking up on) And I use to be a huge mer/der fan but their romance is getting kind of old for me and I am ready for a new one. But for now, I am liking chirstina and burke's relationship. I just hope that it can surive after what happend last thursday. Thanks again for responding!

Hi Overit. It bothered me, too, that Patrick and Ellen were sitting and everyone else standing around them, but that would have been Oprah's call, I guess, not theirs. I thought it was interesting that T.R., Isaiah, Patrick, and James all looked a bit uneasy, but I suppose they knew that they were going to have to talk about this same old story all over again. I liked the way they interacted with each other and supported each other. I think they were all taken aback a bit by her opening comment about the camping episode, that she didn't like it. I think that surprised all of them and caught them off guard. Did you notice all four had their legs crossed in a kind of self protective stance, while Justin and Eric Dane did not? Which was another thing. There was not nearly enough time with Justin Chambers. I loved all three of the girls, Ellen, Sandra OH, and Katie Heigl. Ellen appeared much more relaxed when it was just the girls and she was talking about Katie's performance as Izzie or Cristina and Burke's love for each other, she seemed much more natural. I like her. I've never been the huge Meredith/Derek fan that a lot of viewers are, but I have to say I liked both Ellen and Patrick on this show. However, I love Isaiah and Sandra Oh and they did not disappoint me. I do agree that it is a great ensemble cast and should be appreciated in that way.

Okay I watched it yesterday and the cast was AMAZING,expect for Patrick and Ellen. They seemed a little snoby. It was all in their body language, the way they were sitting and the fact that they were the only actors that got to see down on actual chairs. I know they have great chemistry and everything but still...would it have killed them to act like they were apart of an amazing cast instead of a one person show? I was hoping all those rumors about her being a diva weren't true but it looks like they are. And I was hoping that Patrick would be a gentlemen and he still seems like on just not one that I would want to meet in real life. The show maybe called Grey's Anatomy but I feel that you get more from the other actors on the show then you do Patrick and Ellen and to be honest with you I am quite sick of them and I see them in a totally different light though. As for Mr. Washington, my opinion about him changed after I saw Oprah and he has a great smile and now I realize he was totally screwed over by the media and I am also glad that he and T.R seem to be on friendly terms again. As for him and Patrick, I think the ship has sailed on their friendship. They don't even look like they like each other. What did you guys think???

Grey's Anatomy Quotes

Did you say it? 'I love you. I don't ever want to live without you. You changed my life.' Did you say it? Make a plan. Set a goal. Work toward it, but every now and then, look around; Drink it in 'cause this is it. It might all be gone tomorrow."

Meredith (closing voiceover)

Burke was- He took something from me. He took little pieces of me, little pieces over time, so small I didn't even notice, you know? He wanted me to be something I wasn't, and I made myself into what he wanted. One day I was me Cristina Yang, and then suddenly I was lying for him, and jeopardizing my career, and agreeing to be married and wearing a ring, and being a bride. Until I was standing there in a wedding dress with no eyebrows, and I wasn't Cristina Yang anymore. And even then, I would've married him. I would have. I lost myself for a long time. And now that I'm finally me again, I can't. I love you. I love you more than I loved Burke. I love you. And that scares the crap out of me because when you asked me to ignore Teddy's page, you took a piece of me, and I let you. And that will never happen again.
