Grey's Anatomy Nets Pair of Screen Actors Guild Nominations

at .

The 13th Annual Screen Actors Guild nominees have been announced, honoring several actors and shows on television. The awards will be broadcast and handed out on January 28. Here's a look at two categories in which our favorite show is nominated, as well as the other nominees in those areas.

Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series:

"24" (2001)
"Boston Legal" (2004)
"Deadwood" (2004)
"Grey's Anatomy" (2005)
"The Sopranos" (1999)

Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series:

Patricia Arquette for "Medium" (2005)
Edie Falco for "The Sopranos" (1999)
Mariska Hargitay for "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1999)
Kyra Sedgwick for "The Closer" (2005)
Chandra Wilson for "Grey's Anatomy" (2005)

This comes on the heels of the announced nominees for the Golden Globe Awards, which will be handed out January 15. Our own Patrick Dempsey, Ellen Pompeo and Katherine Heigl all earned nominations, along with the series itself. Congrats to Chandra for picking up a SAG nod.

The amazing Sandra Oh, who has been nominated for many awards in the past for her portrayal of Dr. Cristina Yang (probably the only reason she isn't up for any this year), said at the SAG nominations that while individual honors are great, she's most proud of the nominations she's received as part of the entire cast.

What a team player. With a group as talented as the one she works with every week on Grey's Anatomy, who can argue with that? Not us.
