oh my gosh!!!! this episode was so cute! well besides the non cute parts. but burke and christina .. awww! the way she said yes was so adorable! she looked so serious i for sure thought she was going to say no .. but then come on .. it's christina! ha. it was so cute! i love her laugh. it's so warmy. and them the whole meredith and her mother ordeal. i thought it was great when she woke up .. i thought she would actually wanna know what's been happening this whole time in meredith's life while shes been .. basically asleep .. but no. she was exactly like meredith said she was. she didn't care about anything she did. except for her career issues. but i think after meredith gave her a piece of her mind she got it .. and christina got to hear the marriage part .. which i think was initially reaching for meredith. but then she relapsed. that was so sad i got so teared up! actually i teared up alot in this episode. but i really hope the whole mother telling daughter relationships aren't rig

Does anyone know the name of the girl who guest stared at the begining of the episode, her name was Kelly on the show. She was the kid who started her period and was izzys first free clinic patient?

I agree Kathy, that we Merder fans are going to be a bit worried after Ellis's harshness with Derek ( not to mention poor Meredith). I was concerned by the way Derek spoke to Meredith after that. But I think they have laid a strong foundation for their relationship so I think they will work it out.
Addison obviously uses Mark whenever she wants to for one reason only. I love how witty she is, but in this episode she was more like a predator. I know many fans are waiting for an Addison-Alex hook-up, but I am one who unfortunately does not feel a spark of chemistry between them. Izzie & Alex on the other hand, still have overwhelming chemistry even when they are just friends together. Their stealing the ER patient was hilarious! But Izzie was too over the top in her behavior in this episode, and especially her unkind comments about Callie.

I thought it was good episode. Happy for Burke and Cristina. I was sad for Meredith. Her mother was so mean to her and she was tryiing so hard to tell her she was in love and happy and her mother hurt her so bad by telling her she was just ordinary and was not interestd in hearing about her lvoe life! And then when Ellis talked so mean to Derreck. She wouldn't let him say anything either about Meredith. I didn't like either of those parts. Even though it was hurtful, I hope Mer/Der realize their love is strong enough together that it doesn't matter what Ellis said. When Ellis told Cristina that it was basically ok to be married and have a career, I was so hoping that she would be able to tell Merediith that before the Alzheimers took back over. Hopefully, Ellis's comments will not have a negative impact on Mer/Der! Us Mer/Der fans want them to continue to be happy and would really love it if maybe they would become engaged by season end! That would be great! Can't wait until n

i really started watching the show for the mer/der story, but this couple is really taking over as the main draw. this was a great step for them and so perfectly done!
