All I know is that Meredith dying has hit me like a ton of bricks and I cried in disbelief. Reading this blog makes me hopeful that they will resuscitate her. Maybe they will make altered state stories while she is ...out of body??? Meredith come back!

okay cliff hangers are all all fun and games but if sr kills of the one that all of the peeps revolve around then your fan base jumps ship in a mass revolt....what is up with burke treating cristina so poorly in ep 1 and izzie ub eo II....her monologue stepped waaaaaay over the boundries with george....her pain is so transparent to us only-not george...in his current state of mind he will never see how much she truly misses and love him....sr, please do not do it....

i would also like to add that my best friend is a gay male and has a totally different opinion on this than i do. i just think personal beliefs shouldn't affect your job, just the same as ethnicity, gender, and all the rest... isiaih washington does a terrific and admirable job portraying preston burke and that should not be taken away from him because of his personal beliefs...

clearly i have no idea what is going to happen, but i feel i need to comment because of all the viewers saying they will quit watching if meredith dies. i definitely agree, but i feel the same way in regards to dr. preston burke. i don't care what isaih washington said to t.r. knight, he has one of the most intruiging characters and the show would not be the same without him. if they kill him off or boot him because of his personal opinions i will never watch again. to be real about it, everyone has opinions that are taboo to society or "political correctness", maybe they aren't brave enough to voice them, but they still have them, so who cares? people should get over it... he's a great actor with a great character and it would be a real shame to see him cut from the show because someone too sensitive got their feelings hurt. i'd rather see george pulled from the show than preston. like i said, everyone has opinions that some other whiner would find a reason to cry about. get ov

Ok, so two people are going to die, but only one is going to "stick". I don't think Meredith is going to die permanently....she is hypothermic and in that state patients have been revived after relatively long periods of cardiac arrest. So she will be sort of dead, but not really, truely most sincerly dead.
She may be in that "gray" area (pardon the pun) between life and death. She has already seen Denny and the bomb squad guy. Maybe the 2nd death, the one that "sticks" will be the next person she sees. Perhaps her mother? Perhaps her mother will be dead but coherent in the afterlife, and she will persuade M to "go back" and have a successful life.

Wow! What a crazy episode! So my take is that either they're tricking us by killing Meredith and bringing her back to life, and thats the "supposed" death or they're killing her mom Ellis. There's no way 100% they will actually kill Meredith! Everyone wants to see her and McDreamy be happy together, maybe they just needed this for a little jolt since they've been fighting lately! I will honestly stop watching(as I'm sure many would, aka the fate of the "OC") if they kill Meredith.

No they can't kill off meredith. My hubby thinks they will do the whole spirit and earth thing cuz of the way it ended but who knows!

what the heck was that about tonight? if they were going to kill meredith off then why didnt they have her hang herself when derek said he was staying with his wife....i cried all night long over this and i'll never ever watch again if she dies.....so shonda, you better pull some tricks out of your sleeve!

Watched the show already. Meredith died. She's going to be in a state of coma. Then her mother dies too. But Meredith will be revive. the ghost of Elis will show her the way back..its awesome
Denny will show up to help Izzie. Its like he was sent back for a special mission here but still needs to go back..creepy ghost of the past coming back too is George's father

Ok, i agree with all people who said that Ellis will die and Meredith will pull through. At the end, her temperature was 81 degrees. I believe (just like Izzy) that Derek will save her in surgery like the preview showed. Something will go wrong with Ellis' surgery because: 1) She really is not that big a character 2) She has Alzheimers and 3) She is having heart surgery (against her will).
BTW, if any one of the main characters dies, I want to let SR know that she'll lose a lot of viewers, including myself.

It will be Meredith. Her character really was not going anywhere. It is not new to "kill off" the main character or remove him/her some other way. If done well and with a few twists, it can be very effective in keeping the series going when it appears to be getting stale. Bu usually only for 1 or two more seasons. So that it can end gracefully.

02/13 - What I can tell you is that (1) there is a death this week, (2) there is another death next week, and (3) one of those deaths will stick. Source: Kristin on E!Online ... Sources say Meredith is the one who dies but will be revived and that her mother will be the permanent death.

i think that either izzi or merideth will die. i would be VERY upset if merideth dies and i dont know what they are going to do if she dies cause i dont want this show to end.

I'm thinking it's the pregnant Jane Doe that Alex rescued who will die, or the mother of Chris (the little boy George has been looking for) who is in surgery, or maybe it's Chris. I really, honestly, can't see Meredith dying. Or, Meredith will come back from the brink of death -somehow- and perhaps as soon as everyone figure that Meredith is dead, then someone kicks the bucket (Maybe someone who lost a loved one who psycho-crazy in the waiting room?). Anyhow, I think the show it self would die if Meredith died. Um... "GREY'S" Anatomy?

Yah im wrong about alex's bar bang..my mom told me that's what she thought. i didnt see the bar bang episode actually so i hav no idea. thats 1 of the only episodes i didn't see. I just really got into the show.
Me and my friend we're totally screaming at eachother today about what's going to happen tonight.. He is insisting that meredith is going to drown... Serioulsly? Seriously!
Btw... if anybody needs a good book to read:: the book duo "overheard at the emerald city bar" and "notes from the nurses station" is a great read.
Told from the p.o.v. from who other than Joe and Nurse Debbie..following the events of seasons 1 and 2. Finished it after two days off of school...very hard to put down. =]

I have to agree with McDreamyMmMmM because Ellis is old, she has alzheimer's she's also having heart surgery.I dont think they will ever kill off Meredith because the show is called GREY"S Anatomy.I don't see any other people with the last name Grey.(other than Ellis) but they wouldn't make a whole tv show than only introduce the main character half way through. I belive that by the end of this story Derek will find Meredith and everyone will be happy but when they get Ellis has some sort of attack and everyone will be sad again.
Ooo i just had a thought....you know who i want to kill off...Sidney she is soooo anoying!

I dont think that alex ever slept with that girl at the bar that night i thought that he left.but i dont know.The girl thats pregnant in the hospital looks too young to be the same girl.
