Isaiah Washington Strikes Back
That's right, even more news about Isaiah Washington.

It's not that we wish to continue discussing the firing of Isaiah Washington ad nauseam. But new developments continue to arise, and the drama seems to be becoming stranger by the day.

That said, what we try to do is present all the facts we come across, as they are presented to us, and let readers decide for themselves.

Michael Ausiello from TV Guide reports that the former Grey's Anatomy star will sit down for a discussion with Larry King on CNN's Larry King Live on Monday, July 2.

This will be the actor's first TV interview since being fired. In an attempt to tell his side of the story, expect the interview to cover the incidents with T.R. Knight and Patrick Dempsey, the Golden Globes, the PSA, his firing, a potential law suit against ABC, and the media frenzy.

Isaiah Washington now claims that Patrick Dempsey agrees with the fact that T.R. Knight should have been fired. In a recent interview with gay rights activist/BET host Keith Boykin, the actor said:

"I know Patrick Dempsey has supported me by stating that if there is anyone that needs to be fired, it is T.R. Knight, because he has created such a negative environment on the set."

Follow this link to read Boykin's interview with Washington. Then come back and tell us what you think about his remarks.

Just let Donna know TWOP stands fof television without pity. I havn´t found PD´s comments yet.

Why is Isiah trying to ruin a perfectly good show by dragging all this drama into it? Do you think anyone is going to want to hire him after him being a drama king? Just let it go... find new work. Yes it sucks.. but get over it! Grey's Anatomy better make a fine comeback after this!

Isn't it strange that ABC did all this in the beginning of the summer break probably to make sure that fans would have almost 4 months to forget about it. It is like tax and products increases and governmental negative decisions these always happen during the summer months when people are gone enjoying a break and are miles away from their daily problems.

TR didnt make a big deal about it? Are you daft? IW was quite about this for 8 months while TRK has told everyone with a mic or a pen how IW called him the Fbonb, which as it turned out was not true. Now IW feels is his time to tell the real story. i just dont understand why everyone is taking TR at his word (which has been proven not credible)just because Goerge on the show is a nice good guy doesnt mean that TRK is.

I used to feel somewhat bad for IW, but now, he's digging his own grave, all this stuff about TR should be the one fired. STUPID....TR's not even making the huge deal about's him. Just forget about it, you made a mistake and now you have to pay. Don't throw everyone else under the bus.
Plus, when you think about it, us viewers are the ones who are really going to pay for it, all this relationship animosity. IW gives Grey's a bad name........which is sad...b/c this show had long-time potential.

Carol, I am not so emotionally involved that I cannot be objective; I am merely trying to understand where each of the parties in this sorry game is coming from. Look at the facts, remove all the conjecture, rumours and lies and all I see is that IW has lost the most (for now at least) HE is the victim - his job, livelihood, reputation shredded because of a leaked in-house fight that somehow became a national story. Stupid regrettable words said in a heated moment, quickly forgotten by the two people involved (PD & IW) but used by an opportunistic man (who just happens to be gay) who was dissatisfied with his character and saw this as a chance to do something about it. Aided and abetted by his fellow opportunist KH. So yes I support him 100% in his bid to clear his name. IW can be outspoken, yes but that does not make him the villain in this tale. I fully agree with what Burke Backer said - bringing in PD to perhaps add weight to his comments - to show that from way back TRK might have been known to be resentful of others who he felt had better roles than himself.
His co-stars are distancing themselves? Maybe so but have you thought that they might not want to rock the gravy boat? Remember it's each man for himself and there's a million actors ready to take your place so noones taking any chances with ABC, besides this his co-stars have seen how public opinion swung away from IW and will not want to jeopardise their careers for him. Just the way of the world I giuess...or Hollywood.
Again I agree with Burke Backer - I don't think a lawsuit will be neccessary, ABC probably consulted the best lawyers to make their case watertight; it would be a waste of IW time and resources going after them.

Look at all the disinformation in this thread, mostly stated by TRK backers. IW did not get into a fight with PD,TR knight(despite his Ellen interview comments) was not there when the statement was made, IW didnt dog PD in anyway in his interveiw he even said PD was one of his best friends on the set. Why bring PD into it? Well if no one will beleive him why not mention someone else who was there who would have nothing to gain by telling the truth. As for comparing the slur IW made to the nword is just stupid. Being homosexual is a lifestyle choice. a person could even be born gay but they still have a choice of being openly gay or not. Also no one is being hosed down in the streets and havin dogs called on them for the gay rights movement. Dont get me wrong i respect anyone who fight for a just cause. But a simple fact is that from the moment anyone sees you they know your black theres no hiding it or the pain and deaths that word had led to just like no black person would compare the Nword with any Jewish slur. Some atrocities and the word used during them cant be compared to.

It is so very sad what the world we live in has come to. Morals are slim to none, and people treat each other like scum. Please, please, please let us stop and think what a beautiful world this could be if we only learn to treat each other with respect, and common decency. Regardless of skin color, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, this world is large enough for all of us to get along. I know this is all wishful thinking, but a good thought.

I followed the whole story from the beginning and yes TR was not on the set when it happened and during Oprah's visit PD and IW clearly said that the problem was solved. TR changed his attitude after the GG (see Burke Backer explanation of the GG story) because he knew he was visiting Ellen a few days later? Like someone mentioned how strange that his GA career took off after the "slur" went public. And if ABC has fired so many black actors why isn't the black community making more fuss about this?
Who is "protecting" TR inside ABC management? (and I am watching my words)

People! I think you should all need to read the whole interview before judging IW! =/ I'm sad to see how this site uses only one small part of what Isaiah said to mislead readers! What happened, Insiders????? PLEASE read the WHOLE interview before you judge. It's much different than the impression given after you read what it partly said in this site. IW didnt blame PD or drag him to put any blame to him. He had good reasons as to why PD is right all along. Some people pointed to me that PD and TR's scenes together always look weird. I'm not sure about you guys, but I kinda see it too. I hope to see the truths come out at Larry King. AND I'm seriously so upset about this site!!!! X/

Grey's Anatomy Quotes

Did you say it? 'I love you. I don't ever want to live without you. You changed my life.' Did you say it? Make a plan. Set a goal. Work toward it, but every now and then, look around; Drink it in 'cause this is it. It might all be gone tomorrow."

Meredith (closing voiceover)

Burke was- He took something from me. He took little pieces of me, little pieces over time, so small I didn't even notice, you know? He wanted me to be something I wasn't, and I made myself into what he wanted. One day I was me Cristina Yang, and then suddenly I was lying for him, and jeopardizing my career, and agreeing to be married and wearing a ring, and being a bride. Until I was standing there in a wedding dress with no eyebrows, and I wasn't Cristina Yang anymore. And even then, I would've married him. I would have. I lost myself for a long time. And now that I'm finally me again, I can't. I love you. I love you more than I loved Burke. I love you. And that scares the crap out of me because when you asked me to ignore Teddy's page, you took a piece of me, and I let you. And that will never happen again.
