I love your ideas, aclark. I adore George and Izzie and think they are meant to be together, but I do believe the adultery is turning some people off (less than before though as I have noticed the Gizzie fans seem the majority now). So I opt like you for he and Callie to separate because they were an abominable mistake from the start and they seem to have no fans. The only people rooting for them are the people who think all marriages, even horrible unhappy ones, should be saved or Gizzie haters. Gizzie has a much bigger fanbase despite the affair.
After that, he and Izzie could tell each other they love one another but take it slow. Go on dates, court, do little romantic things, talk, but not jump into bed right away. After a while, they could take the next step. I want a real love scene this time, not a two-second one, and I want it to happen when he is free from Callie.
As for Alex and Izzie, I am sorry, but they were terrible, which is probably whu Shonda dropped them. They b

im sorry it seems like everyone is know a fan of George and Izzie but i still have hope that Izzie and Alex could get back toegther!!
I think they are so good for each other!!!
And im not sure what George will do maybe he and Callie could make it work again.
I'd rather see George and Izzie joking around again not MAKING OUT!

What happened to Cristina? I want her to be happy. I want to see more of her being really a brilliant surgent in the show.
I like Burk also. I wish he's back on the show. You just don't kill the person off because of, well, whatever.
With Lex, there's new girl for the guys. What happen to new hot guys for the girls? Shouldn't Meredith and Cristina have some new hot interest?

I honestly LOVE the George/Izzy pairing. I just think the timing of bringing them together was ridiculous. It is Callie being in the picture that tends to turn people off from it soooo much. But I think it is an accurate representation from life, that you can not always control how things happen. However, seeing as it is a tv show, they need to realize that things like a 3 way adultery love triangle may not be the way to get some sensitive fans on your side. The best recoup at this point, I think would be to seperate george/callie, slow things down from both george and izzie angle (let them play the "we've been hurt before, lets take it slow", part) and then have a george/callie "we were never really right for each other in that way, we both made mistakes, lets be friends now and forget the past" moment. After which developing the izzie/george love story would be more acceptable to the masses i believe.

At first, I didn't like Gizzie, I wanted George to stay with Callie, but now I changed my mind... They're cute together, even though George doesn't 'fit' with Izzie. Maybe it's because I don't like Callie that much.
But T.R & Katerine are such a wonderful a wonderful actors :)

LOL, Mel, I totally agree. I am a big Gizzie fan and never thought they were like siblings. I talked to my brother, who btw hates them about the sibling comment, and eh started to laugh. He said get real, siblings don't joke about doing each other like George and Izzie do. Or joke about masturbation. He said if you talked about it with me, I would have you checked out, LOL. He might hate them but he saw them coming before I do, he said it is really obvious they are more than friends way back ins season 2.
People who thought they came out of nowhere obviously were not paying any attention at all or didn't want to say it.
Chemistry is subjective but I think they have the ebst chemistry on the show. I might be the only one, but MerDer does nothing for me. Give me Gizzie any day of the week.

Ohh it seems like everyone likes George & Izzie but seriosuly i can't stand any romatic scenes they have together!! it is just wrong it makes me feel icky.
i know Callie and George are complete opposites btu she brought out the better in him. i so hope they make it work!!
p.s ive been reading in blogs that Shonda isn't going to pursue George and Iziie anymore :p

Whats this crap about George and Izzie being like brother and sister? I would NEVER EVER speak to my brother in that way and we're very close. We wouldn't joke about sex and masturbation and stuff like Izzie and George. I would NEVER use his toothbrush, walk in on him in the shower and despite his protests keep doing it. I wouldn't parade around in my underwear in front of him, and I most certainly would NOT have sex with him whether we were drunk or not! (oh, and I wouldn't be jealous of his wife or kiss him in elevators)

I love Gizzie! From the moment I first watched Grey's as an ignorant 12 year old, it was the episode where Izzie and George shared the left over food, I knew they'd get together eventually.
Don't get me wrong, I loved Callie/George at first, but my reaction to them getting married was like, "What??" -- They rushed into it. Whatever they had just fizzled, and when George was explaining to the chief "You can love someone and not want to be with them, just the same as you can be with someone and not love them" ,(after the psychatrist pointed out they clearly loved each other) it won me over as a Gizzie fan.

I love Callie, she's my favourite character and I loved George and Callie! I always thought something was going to happen between Izzie and George, and to people who think it came out of nowhere, really, it didn't. If you have half a brain and no sense of denial you would have seen it coming as early as mid-season one. It became more apparent there was more to Izzie/George than just friendship, or best friends. Come on, Izzie being jealous of Callie... in a friendly way? Come on.
Now I love Callie/George, and as much as I'd love them to work out, I know the connection between George/Izzie is much stronger and way more interesting. They're in love!
Deal with it. It's television.
Get a life and watch the damn show, coz opinions wont keep you warm at night.

No more dark and twisty for Meredith. She needs to finally find real love and comittment, which only Derek can provide. We need a love baby on the show. Derek and Meredith should have one together. I would like to see Izzie and George as good friends again. It seems so awkward for them to make a love connection. Callie and George have no chemistry at all. I could see Alex in a relationship with Lexi. Please keep Dr. Bailey in charge. Callie does not have what it takes to run the show.

I love george and Izzie, they are the best thing on this show. Callie and George have zero chemistry and Callie should be with a guy who loves her. George's heart belongs to Izzie. It was clear in Time after time when George watched Izzie watching Hannah and said she is a heartbreaker (it was so clear he was talking about Izzie). The way he lookd at her send chills down my spine, so beautiful. I think everyone would want a guy to look at them like that. I fell ehad over heels for them that day. I love how Izzie makes George happy and proud of himself, Callie never did that. And love how just being near George can make Izzie light up like a Christmas tree. They are the most beautiful couple on TV. Just gorgeous.

I doubt we are the minority too. I see a lot more fans than haters along the board and everyone I know offline is completely in love with those two. I have seen people who used to be haters that are now big fans of them.
On bot Fanforum and Livejournal, Gizzie has the biggest fan community, bigger than MerDer and I am seeing new fans pop up every day.
Shonda would be stupid to drop such a great couple that obviously has a deeper love than anyone on that show just to please a few loudmouth haters.

George and Izzie belong together, they always seemed a little bit in love to me. Brothers and sisters do not flirt like Gizzie did in the whole I won't have sex if you beg me, yes I will scene. That is not siblings' behavior at all. There always was something there between them through all their relationships with other people. Unfortunately, they realized it very late. I seriously do not understand how people did not see them coming, they are McObvious.
But after last week's episode, it is crystal clear they belong together. And more and more fans are becoming fans of those two. I really doubt we are in the minority anymore.

According to Shonda in ehr podcast,. George always loved Izzie, he did not tell her because he felt insecure and trapped in his marriage and everything thatw as going on with his life. Lexie helpiong him have confidence in himself was what freed him from admitting his real feelings. She wrote the show, so I would tend to believe her.
Him telling Izzie he loved her was the first RIGHT decision he has made in months. It is beyond obvious for anyone with two eyes that he is crzy about Izzie and that he doesn't feel the same way about Callie.
Gizzie for the win!

Has anyone else ever noticed that when George is all emotionally messed up, he goes and does something drastic? His dad dies - he marries Callie for comfort. He fights with Callie - gets drunk and sleeps with Iz. He flunks/repeats his year - is all angry and messed up about it...and goes and tells Izzie "I love you too."
The dude makes huge, life-changing decisions when he is clearly in no condition to do so! IMO, the marriage was a mistake, the sex was a mistake, the "I love you too" --another HUGE mistake. Bambi does indeed need saving--from himself. I LOVE how Lexie Grey talked him back to reality. I think I may like her after all. :) Maybe after all this Calizorge stuff blows over he could fall for HER.

What's the big deal if George and Izzie get together? They could be soul mates for all we know. I don't see a brother/sister thing between them. I see a brother/sister thing between George and Meredith...or Izzie and Alex or whatever. George and Izzie were always kind of...well, I can't think of a word at this very moment. But these two could be meant for each other. Who knows, eh? We gotta wait to see where Shonda's mind takes us next.

I think that Christina is hiding from Mama when she walks out of the elevator. She doesn't want to see her, and Mama wants to see Christina.
And I agree with May about the Gizzie thing. I do think that George likes Callie, but he's too impulsive. People just don't run away with someone to Vegas to get married, then a mont later, go sleep with some model.
