Katherine Heigl Wins Best Supporting Actress Emmy!

at . Comments

Experts' predictions had Sandra Oh taking home the Best Supporting Actress honors, but when the dust settled, the Emmy went to Katherine Heigl!

Katherine, who was not only going up against the formidable Sandra Oh and a third Grey's Anatomy star, Chandra Wilson, but three of the best supporting actresses from all other drama series, was quite taken aback.

Katherine Heigl, who won in her first-ever Emmy nomination, joked that she did not prepare a speech for the occasion because "My own mother told me that I didn't have a shot in hell of winning tonight."

Best Supporting Actress!

As cameras focused on her mother and manager, Nancy, in the crowd, Katherine Heigl laughed and added, "But she's a really big supporter. She does love me."

In closing, a tearful daughter addressed a tearful Nancy Heigl, "This is for you, this is because of you. I wouldn't want to be here without you."

Congratulations to Katherine, and to Sandra and Chandra on their nominations!

Stop complaining and acting like babies. She won. GET OVER IT. MY GOD.

Who knows who is behind WICKED might be its KH herself ah ah ah ah

exgreysfan -- You speak the truth! I couldn't agree more. To me she'll always be the incredibly annoying blonde hair with big boobs dumb girl who when you see would want to make you kick puppies. OK I tried to be kind there. What I really meant was that everytime I see her extremely annoying face, I always have this urge to strangle her and throw her off a cliff.

Well we can all guess that this is one of the "political" type awards. Sometimes stars receive a well deserved nod for diplaying their acting chops; other times it is about other forces working in the background - the powerful gay and lesbian groups who Heigl has shown such loyalty to, the success and hype surronding knocked up, the aggresive lobbying of whoever is representing and marketing her as one of the hot actresses in tinseltown.
The truth is that heigl is only a so-so actress. I honestly do not see longevity in her career. She simply does not possess the range and sheer ability to produce the goods over and over. Sure she could spend time doing one long row of inane comedies by Judd Apatow and the like. She does not even have the abilities of that other blonde next door Meg Ryan. I might end up totally shocked as heigl goes on one day to act in films like - the painted veil, birth, becoming jane, etc. But somehow I do not think she will be able to carry them off. Not that she is likely to be given the chance. Can you see serious directors fighting to send scripts to her?

Yeppers, Hi-gel's speech sounded really scripted. And yeah, it's the end of the world coz Barbie Dumb Bitch Can't Act won omg omg it's coming the end is coming.

OK, why come all the anger is directed at WICKED now??? Don't get mad at her for being a School Prinicipal and for being really sucky at spelling! It's not right. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA kick rocks WICKED! Tell your number 1 idol Katherine Hi-gel to kick rocks as well. I wonder if Josh has already found out that his fiance had sex with the Emmy accountants for the Emmy award. Poor Josh. I feel really bad for him. :( :( :(

Geez you guys are so funny. Luv it! I'm glad that the consensus around here is that Katherine Heigl did not deserve that award. On hindsight, maybe she did coz it's all butter wrapped in gold foil after all. Teehee! Um yeah, no. She certainly did not deserve that Emmy and I believe that she did have sex (or threaten to have sex mwahahaha) with the Emmy accountants that's why she won. I agree with the poster who said that Heigl's acceptance speech sounded scripted/memorized. And yet she claimed that she has nothing prepared. Wow!

You just made a lot of sense, Rozanne! I agree with every word.

Somebody's being all self-righteous. Kick rocks, WICKED bitch! When Charlotte and BG said you're a School Principal, I took it that they were being sarcastic. Lawd! If they want to vent and want to make their voices heard, leave them be! Ugh, it's as though you really know those stuff. Come on, admit that you just looked that up on Wikipedia a few minutes before you decided to post here. AND.....There's no such country as New Zeland. New Zealand, there is. Oooohh was that a typo? BUT STILL. It's wrong. Duh. And yeah, you really suck at spelling coz there's no such word as "definatly," only DEFINITELY. Just for the record, I actually like Katherine Heigl and I don't hate Izzie Stevens. But I really don't think she deserved to win. She can act, yeah, but she pales SO MUCH in comparison to the other nominees. Especially to Sandra Oh. I was really surprised when I found out that she was nominated.

OK, I guess I need to explain some things here to Belgian Grey and Charlotte. :+) No, I am not a School Principal. Yes, I am very aware of where Austrailia and Belgium are. Belgium is a beautiful country in Europe, north of France, south of The Netherlands and west for Germany. Austrailia is a southern hemisphere continent south of Indonesia and northwest of New Zeland. {Geography is definatly one of my stronger subjects in school, spelling, not so much} When I told you folks to go to bed, I was making the assumtion that you were young children, or at least hopng. I think it is a shame that grown adults act so infintile and immature over an actress who won a freaking award. And to completely trash her that way has got to be hurtful to her. So, by insinuating that you are all children, I was being sarcastic. I'm just really amazed by some of the stuff said. I think there are more things in life to get angry about then some actress winning a trophy. Let her enjoy her moment, and move on with life. And for the "dictatorial mentality" comment, I'm touched! Never been called a dictator before. Cool! {now that my friends is sarcasm!}

Grey's Anatomy Quotes

There's a reason I said I'd be happy alone. It wasn't 'cause I thought I'd be happy alone. It was because I thought if I loved someone and then it fell apart, I might not make it. It's easier to be alone, because what if you learn that you need love and you don't have it? What if you like it and lean on it? What if you shape your life around it and then it falls apart? Can you even survive that kind of pain? Losing love is like organ damage. It's like dying. The only difference is death ends. This? It could go on forever.

Did you say it? 'I love you. I don't ever want to live without you. You changed my life.' Did you say it? Make a plan. Set a goal. Work toward it, but every now and then, look around; Drink it in 'cause this is it. It might all be gone tomorrow."
