Please don't kill off Martha Byrne's Character. She may come back, as she has done in the past. Jon Helmsley got tired in the past too and wanted out. Then he was brought back.
The best thing you can do is keep trying to get her change her mind. If not, put her in a comma, until she does change her mind.
