Lauren Conrad Stays Out of Political Fray

at .

While Heidi Montag recently came out in support of Republican nominee John McCain, don't expect Lauren Conrad be as public with her political preferences.

When contacted this week by the New York Times political blog about her own candidate of choice in the 2008 race, Lauren's publicist stated that, "Lauren Conrad believes in a private ballot, but encourages everyone to vote."

A noble sentiment. You'd think that (if only because she and Heidi are rivals) Lauren would back Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama. But who knows, really!
