Laila Ali Wants Child to Be an Athlete

Laila Ali may have rose to (reality TV) fame thanks to Dancing with the Stars, but that doesn't mean she wants her impending child to be a dancer.

"I want him to be an athlete," Laila told OK!. "I did Dancing with the Stars, but my life doesn't revolve around it. I think that when I say athlete, I mean a serious athlete."

Ouch. That's quite the slam at professional dancers such as Mark Ballas, isn't it?

Perhaps Ali would prefer her offspring to end up on her current show, American Gladiators. Laila co-hosts the NBC revival of the 1990s series and can't dream up a more perfect gig for herself.

"It's a competitive show with a live audience that brings a lot of energy, and it's what I'm used to," she said. "It was perfect for me, and I'm having a really great time with [co-host] Hulk [Hogan]."

Stacey: There was one in ’41? Where?
Frank Kovick: In Sunrise.
Stacey: Sunrise…
Frank Kovick: It was huge, it destroyed most of the town.
Stacey: Really?!
Frank Kovick: Founders Day fire. They called it the “Miracle Fire” because nobody died.
