Continuing her pursuits outside TV, Grey's Anatomy star Katherine Heigl is set to star in and produce the movie adaptation of Escape.

Escape is Carolyn Jessop's best-selling memoir about the Fundamentalist Church of Latter Day Saints, where polygamy is the norm.

By the time she was in the fourth grade, her father had three wives. At 18 she married a 50-year-old; at 35, she fled with her eight children.

Last year, the sect's notorious leader, Warren Jeffs, was found guilty on charges of being an accessory to rape for forcing a 14-year-old girl in the group to marry her 19-year-old cousin, and Jessop's testimony helped convict him.

The Emmy-winning Katherine Heigl of Grey's Anatomy is currently shooting the Robert Luketic directed Sony/Lakeshore comedy The Ugly Truth.
