Grey's Anatomy Snubbed By Emmy Awards
For the first time in three full seasons (Season One was only nine episodes long and therefore not eligible), Grey's Anatomy has been left off the final list of nominees for Outstanding Drama Series at the forthcoming Emmy Awards.
Up for the honor are Boston Legal, Damages, Dexter, House, Lost and Mad Men. Grey's Anatomy was among 10 semifinalists but missed the final cut.
A pair of Grey's Anatomy cast members, Sandra Oh and Chandra Wilson, received nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Drama Series.
Impressively, this marks the fourth consecutive nomination for Sandra Oh (Cristina Yang) and the third straight for Chandra Wilson (Miranda Bailey).
Last year, Katherine Heigl (Izzie Stevens) was nominated and won the Emmy Award for that category. This season... well, you know the details.
What do you think about this? Should Grey's Anatomy have been among the top six - or was Season Four really not up to par?

The idea of grey's anatomy simply changed my life.....u have to look beyond the plot, beyond the characters and see the real face of every day life as a surgeon, as a person. Don't judge the seasons, just think about grey's as something more than just a tv show. U cannot love the wise words that begin and end each episode. They teach us things, people.......all of them......So, SERIOUSLY, forget about the emmy...BULL SHIT......grey's anatomy means more than that.....it's not perfect. But it's exactely how life is......

I agree the first part of season four's writing was not up to par; but then they did set the bar pretty high for themselves. The later part of the season was without a doubt worth an Emmy Nomination.
And yes, Ellen Pompeo should have received her nomination. She was amazing.

I believe if IW was still apart of the show they would have been nominated and won. When they let him go, I'm sorry, the show when down the toilet. I bet if they had him back, whether they want him back or not, the ratings would go through the roof. Even those that hate him,for whatever reason, would have to admit to that. ABC shouldn't let pride get in the way of their success. If they want their ratings back stronger than ever, they know what to do.

Well now I guess we all see that Katherine had a point :) I feel that Ellen should have gotten a nomination. She really did do the best acting this season. However, the line that Cristina screamed in the finale "Shut up and let me work!" should be enough to win her an Emmy!
Writers...you better step up your game! Give us some real-life romance. A marriage...something that we can relate to. There are so many things on this show that can be applied in real life. I know that it is Hollywood, but give the show a component of something real that us viewers can take to heart and understand because we have been through it. Thanks!!

A Sandra Oh Emmy is soooooooooooo long overdue. I don't care of she had two seconds of airtime the entire season. She could give a more Emmy-worthy performance staring blankly at a wall than katherine heigl does wailing and shrieking like a cow. Sandra conveys and evokes more emotion with her eyes and her facial expressions than all those "What about meeeeeeeeee's!!!" heigl passes for as acting.
