Is There Really an Upcoming Mer-Der Wedding?
Yesterday, we reported that Grey's Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey (Derek) hinted getting married to Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) in an interview with USA Today. That may be the case, but is a wedding really going down - and how soon?
In an effort to get to the bottom of this, E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos talked to what she calls a reliable source and says the following" "We haven't shot anything related to any kind of engagement or wedding. And I haven't seen anything in a script."
Of course, the nuptials could very well happen further on down the road, and it certainly seems obvious that Meredith and Derek would end up happily (married) ever after at some point. But if so, that may possibly happen closer to the end of the series.
In the meantime, sources also say that as far as they know, there are no current plans to build a dream house (on Derek's land) set for Meredith and Derek. So again, that may happen sometime in the future (end of the season?), but not right now.
What do you think of a Meredith-Derek wedding on Grey's Anatomy? Is this season too soon, or should they just tie the knot already?

I think what ever mer says or does...makes it HER! ppl are diff by nature........Derek loved Mer! and thats what matters....we are all diff frm each other....sumone finds YOU boringbut that doesn mean ur BF loves u any less and understand YOU! as u are......a lot of ppl say Mer is this Mer ios that......but I do see behind all that .....what is there IN HER that sum ppl are blind to....
Our circumstances make us what we are....we don always choose to be what we end up like......its our family traditions, family experiences, our own experiences.....and so much more which is just a part of only and only OUR story.....and no one understands it better than we ourselves do....

It would be nice to see Meredith get out of a victim's role and live and work a little. Go and get life a little bit more in baby steps and then not take 10 steps back if something bad or unexpected occurs.
Grey's Anatomy is prolonging this Mer-Der flakiness too long. She is flaky and does not know how to handle relationships, while he does not know if he wants the relationship badly enough from day to day. And then his chiefdom being in question due to Meredith was put to rest.
It was fun and still is to see Mer-Der, but it would be funner to see them have fun and digs rather than be sullen all the time.
Its tiring.
Not that it matters...coz who is reading this?

Absolutely...Definitely... Meredith & Derek have to be married!!!! Both of them are the reason why i keep watch and love Grey's Anatomy. So...don't dare you making 'not-ended-happily-together' of Meredith & Derek!

If you don't like the show then what are you doing on this website? Meredith is a great person. Ellen plays her fantasically. She's been through a lot and that's why its taken her so long to get over herself. How is Cristina ridiculous? You're making things up just to bash the show. If you don't like it, don't watch it. But don't come to this website and say annoying things like that just because you know you're gonna piss people off.

I think there will be a marriage in the end of the season, maybe in the finale...but I'm sure that the writers would find a way to ruin the whole thing, either McDreamy is going to back away cuz Merdith will go like "oh, I'm scared, oh Chirstina, what should i do - your my person" but I'm sure theat Chirstina will get her happy ending in the end of this season. But, to be quite true I'm not really sure that if Mer-Der got Merried that it would last - they are far away from taking such a leep, they are babies.
