Grant Aleksander always had an eye on a return to Guiding Light.

And the actor will, indeed, come back to the series in the role of Phillip Granville Spaulding in January 2009.

"I love the show very much. I always have, and when I left [in 2004], I tried to make it clear that there were no hard feelings," Aleksander told Soap Opera Weekly.
