Having just watched the episode I must say Erica walking out made perfect sense. It was written and handled well. I am still more than a little pissed about it but at least it does make perfect sense in the context of the character.

Fine actress, bad storyline.
I did not care for Erica and Callie's relationship because I really like Callie and Sloan together. Callie was bi-curious at best becuase she did not embrace her new found sexuality with Erica. It seemed awkward at best.

So Callie doesn't like girls anymore because Izzie stole a heart for Denny. This makes her not a lesbian anymore right? I just want to clear that up because someone people *cough*shonda*cough* might be confused with that.

Brooke Smith's IMDB profile indicates that she is in "These Ties That Bind" (Nov. 13th's ep).
I hope to fucking god that these aren't flashback scenes brought on by Dr. Hahn's death....seriously...this is just all so wrong.
In any case I won't be watching November 13th's eps...I'll just catch glimpses on youtube to satisfy my curiousity...won't be doing anything to continue to support ABC...

i dnt give a damn...im 15 n my sista watch diz show wit me..and she only 13 but anywhoo diz is showing dat us teens dat itz ok 2 be gay...n im not down with dat thats my how i feel but on da real dey didnt have to firing her 4 being a "lesbian" ...dats kinda of dumb... and wat happen with Isaiah Washington.. is not da same...ya feel me...well itz *only* a TV show as someone else pointed out. so im out diz joint peace....

Yes, it is 'only' a TV show as someone else pointed out.
However, I'll be disappointed if Erica leaves after a fall-out with Callie over Izzie Stephens and the heart. As IDC said why would Callie stand up for Stephens when she hates her because of her cheating with George. Erica has a right to be pissed at Izzie about the heart after all Denny did die but her patient is still alive and waiting.
There better be some decent Callica scenes if it is Brooke's last ep... :-(
I look forward to reading your opinions/feelings of the episode when I get home. I won't get to watch it until I can download it. Still disappointed/shocked that Brooke Smith will be no longer after tonight.

Jane-if you are talking about Isaiah Washington..he did get fired for saying inappropriate remarks...
They need to get rid of Hahn because the storyline is no longer. They can not keep her and just stop the storyline. It is nothing personal. I would much rather have callie on the show than hahn anyway. She has no chemistry with anyone especially Callie.

I never enjoyed her character, but she was an interesting addition to the show. Her relation with Callie is special, but i would preferred them as great friends, because i don't really like what Callie turned into because of this.
Nevermore, regarding the firing is happening everywhere so why not also on a tv show?! As someone said is all about money. Is bad for Brook but since she was counting on this job, but maybe there are things that we are not aware of, and the firing had a point. there are always 2 sides of the story or even more:P. As long as the 5 are in the game is great!

I would hope that if this is Hahn's last episode that she and Callie would have awesome, sweet, giving, and peaceful scenes with each other. Why do they have to "break up"?
I wish I knew where Brooke lived here in LA and I would send her flowers. No stalking, just flowers.

I've never saw erica matching with this show at all... and there was so no chemestry between her and callie... so... I dont care if she leaves.
Callie could keep exploring but I really like her with Sloan.... and I really like the idea of Sloan being jelous of some other girls instead of being hot for that, and that sorprising him... it would be something new for his character...

mmmm... you allow an actor to stay on a show, who caused major trouble behind the scenes, called a fellow actor a horrible name...and Brooke Smith is fired? What did she do? LOL Give me a break... focus groups and backlash have no doubt nipped this storyline in the bud quickly. Money and ratings..that's the key. And to the lady who ranted about morals, and kids, and TV... you are right... But no one's ever held Grey's up as a show for kids or viewers looking for a clean family show. Ya know? I watch Cash Cab, or some Discovery Channel when I'm not in the mood for a soap opera at night.

What a bullshit!
Come on... Callie will defender her so badly that they will break up? The same Callie as in Callie that had her husband "stolen" by Izzie? Or at least was how she felt!
I can't believe she would just let this go and be on Izzie's side, not Erica's. Besides, Izzie and Callie merely look at each others faces... It will be soooo stupid if they end up because of this!
And I definitely don't want her to die! Actually, I don't want her to leave! But if this happen, it has to be epic! She deserves!

If Callie and Erica have a "relationship severing blowout" about Izzie and Denny's heart that is bullshit. Callie had nothing to do with Izzie stealing the heart..
I am so done with being upset over this..ABC sucks...Brooke deserves better and she will go on to do bigger and better things..

I'm going to miss Hahn so much!!! =[ I loved the Callica storyline, it was so different and exciting and I was so happy that Grey's/ABC was taking a stand to support the Gay/Lesbian/Bi.. community. And now, I am so disappointed.. I was looking forward to watching Callie and Erica's relationship evolving because it brought great depth to the show. It's so unfortunate that she was fired. I'm sure we are not hearing the whole story, and there was probably a lot of arguing and such between the writers and ABC and everyone. But regardless of what REALLY happened, I will miss seeing Brooke Smith on the show, and I hope in the future she will get to make another appearance! (I wish Burke would come back too)
