Is Sara Ramirez Leaving Grey's Anatomy?
There has been a lot of speculation in the last couple of weeks that Sara Ramirez (Dr. Callie Torres) will be leaving the cast of Grey's Anatomy later this season.
We have not reported these rumors to you so far because they are only that - speculation. But given the sheer amount of attention they're generating, we're going to now. Nothing you read below is confirmed, but some of the rumors and theories are:
- That Sara Ramirez will be departing Grey's Anatomy after episode 15 or 16. This past week's episode, "These Ties That Bind," was the eighth of Season 5.
- That Brooke Smith is not the only one being let go from the show, and given her relationship with Smith's character, Erica Hahn, Sara Ramirez is next.
- That Sara might be headed back to Broadway, where she was a star.
- That Melissa George's character Sadie was brought in (or possibly re-written after Smith's departure) for Eric Dane's character, Mark Sloan, because the ABC executives wanted a different, fairly big-name actress for his love interest.
Again, this is pure conjecture and nothing more. But What do you think of these Grey's Anatomy rumors - and have you heard any others? Share with us ...

I have to say that tonights ep of Grey's was better than I had seen in awhile. Although I didn't get to see enough of Sada/Callie. Which didn't make me happy. Is it just me or does Callie look like she has had some plastic surgery done on her face? She is still beautiful as always. But looks alot different. And I think that she is getting to thin. She needs to gain just a little weight back. But really no matter what she does. The girl is the most beautiful person I have ever seen. I go to you tube and watch Grey's eps and anything I can find about Sada, Brooke and Kate Walsh. Some of the postings over there are so cute. After they watch Sada's videos. Some of the women are like. I'm a 40 yr old straight woman with 2 kids and married. But I am so inlove with this woman. LOL!!! And I never felt like this before, I seen this woman. It is like Callie/Sada said in one of her interviews during Callica. It didn't matter that Erica was another woman. Callie was falling in love with the person

Okay.So if they do get rid of Sara it will be tragic, she bring the kick assness to the show. She is the toguh mean girl, who is still loveable and does watch out for people. they ned her on the show. and i think if they let go of her some other television show will swoop her up before she can even think abpout going back to broadway! She is just that good. =]

Sara Ramirez better not be getting axed...Sadie really just needs to go...her character has NO PURPOSE...If Sara Rmairez gets axed the show is most definatly going to be losing a lot more viewers it is getting really ridiculous...where did T.R. Knight go his character is barely even seen now...Sara is also not getting a lot of screen time which is VERY DISSAPOINTING...KEEP SARA RAMIREZ ON THE SHOW.

Personally, I would love to see Sara have a show of her own. Grey's certainly is not giving her the on screen time that a talented actress such as her deserves. She is extremely beautiful and a phenomenal singer, and I think she deserves her own show. Just an idea, but I think they should have an episode dedicated to the bar where Callie goes on stage and sings for the bar patrons. Would be interesting to see them all sitting there in total amazement, not to mention watching others walk in and to stop dead in their tracks listening to that amazing voice.

This is the kind of stuff that makes me wanna punch a baby {KIDDING!!!} But seriously, What the duce mann??? I love the relationship between Callie and Mark a whole lot more than the one between Meredith and Derek. I hadn't heard the rumor that Sadie was written in for Mark but I have speculated that Lexie is going to hook up with Mark - even before the promos of her getting shirtless in front of him. I was completly OK with Brooke Smith leaving, sorry - but good riddance to bad rubbish in my honest opinion and I'm glad the Callica story line died - Rest in Peices!! But why get rid of Sara? It makes no sense? and TR?!?!? ughh - this is why I don't watch television anymore besides Thursday nights - and even that may be no more . . .

why in hell would ABC get rid of Sara Ramirez?!?! She is the best actress on the show and unless they wanna loose even more viewers (one being me) they better keep her on because she is the reason I tune in every Thursday night!.... If this is just a rumor (which it better be!) than I want to see a TON more MALLIE and more callie alone because she is seriously on for 5 minutes andla
st week she was on for about 2 1/2 minutes which is STUPID because Sara is SOOO talented!.... Of this ends up actually happening and Sara/Callie is the next one to get the boot she better go right back to center stage on Broadway! Amen!
