Dear Lord I love this show. Season 2 had me worried, but Season 3 has been sensational. I'm glad Julie and Saracen finally hooked up. It's been obviously been brewing for some time, but I think they might actually have a chance this time because Julie is more mature and Matt doesn't have all the pressure of being QB1. The bass player was great and surprisingly insightful for someone in high school. Being able to discern that all the songs are about the same girl like that. I just feel bad for JD Mccoy. I've played baseball pretty much my entire life and while I was growing up, I saw a lot of dads like JD's; trying to micromanage their son's life so that he can be the next great one. Either all the pressure ends up crushing the kid or he becomes like JD; so straight laced that he has no life aside from football. But I know Peter Berg and the writers will make sure that doesn't happen, which makes me happy. And Coach Taylor giving street that pep talk and then helping him with his house. Coach Taylor is, unequivocally, the man.

Matt and Julie totally did it. All girls look in the mirror after their first time to see if they look different. And those knowing smiles in CHURCH? I half expected them to be smote by a lightning bolt. Those were some unholy thoughts I'm sure going through their heads! I'm excited to see what those two will be up to. And what her parents will think about them getting back together. Also, how funny was Crucifictorious's new bass player? She's totally deadpan and way laid back. And tiny. And forthright. She's great. And the DRUMMER! The constant miserable expression! The acne! That is how REAL teenagers look. For all Tyra looking down on her mother and sister (how gloriously hideous and tacky was that wedding dress?!) she's making some stupid mistakes with that cowboy. Dumb, dumb, dumb. JD is cute. He's right: Tim and Lyla would have very pretty babies. Heheh! Billy stapling his hand after shouting "I'm not a moron!" The blood on the wall with the inspirational message painted around it... all hilarious touches. Coach Taylor continues to be a god amongst men... GREAT episode!
