Neil Flynn Cast in the Middle

Neil Flynn, best known for his role as The Janitor on Scrubs, has been cast opposite Patricia Heaton to star in ABC's new sitcom pilot, The Middle.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Middle follows a middle-class couple (Heaton and Flynn) in middle America that is struggling with the emotional and financial strain of raising three kids.

While this sitcom may be funny it does mean yet another main star of Scrubs will not be around for a ninth season.  Looks like it really will just be the intern class.
