True Blood season two may not return for what feels like an eternity, but production on the sophomore season has already begun. Luckily, Michael Ausiello was lucky enough to talk to the show's creator, Alan Ball, to sneak us some spoilers.
On the question of whether fan favorite Layfayette will be returning in season two after his death in season one. According to Ball, "Lafayette did die in the books." But, "That doesn't mean he won't be back. Anything's possible." Sounds likely to us!
How about Maryann (Michelle Forbes)? They mystery surround who and what she is will play out big time in season two and there won't be any clues you'll find in the books. According to Ball, "She's definitely a new kind of supernatural creature in Bon Temps." He stresses she's old, or as he says, "Ancient, Ancient."
