Izzie Stevens Speculation of the Week
Is Katherine Heigl being killed off Grey's Anatomy? Literally and/or figuratively?
This question has been raging for months ... many months in fact.
The latest from E! Online is that although nothing is official, it's looking "very likely" that both Heigl and T.R. Knight will sail off into an ABC-free sunset come the end of Season Five.
"The legal papers just need to be signed," says one Grey's Anatomy Insider reportedly familiar with the situation regarding the two acclaimed stars.
So, are the months-long rumors true that Izzie will die? If so, was bringing Denny back a mistake at first glance, but retrospectively a brilliant way to build up to her death?
At first glance, it would appear so, given her condition. However, it has been speculated that ABC will only release her from her contract if she agrees to future guest spots.
And if Izzie does leave, for any reason, what does that mean for her (living) love interest, Alex Karev? Also, how sorely would George O'Malley (T.R.) be missed? Would Seattle Grace be the same? Can the show survive without the two?

I think a blogger once put it excellently when he said "Izzie Stevens is a shapely blonde wart on the ass of half- talented television writers." Man, I hate that character to the point where it doesn't even endear me to Katherine Heigl. Everytime I see her, I imagine her nosy, gossipy, double chinned face. her tumor is the best thing that happened on that show. I hope she dies. Then she can have "hot" sex with ghosts in the fiery pits of hell all she wants.

i have been a fan of the show since it started i have all four seasons. i feel if izzie and george leave it will not be the same. i know alex isnt the nicest character but he is starting to more sensitive and his character seems to be maturing. i think alex and izzie have always been there for each when they needed a shoulder to cry on. you have to look at the deeper picture alex had a troubled past so he puts a sheild up in the beginning maybe he was afraid of being hurt..however i have noticed that his character has let his guard down quite a bit. I think that george and izzie are better off as best friends. as for denny yes they had a very special relationship but he is gone and they should leave it at that. I would love to see izzie and alex have happy ending i think since the beginning during there on again and off again relationship that they never lost that love for each other. I hope they do leave george and izzie on the show if not it may not be the same and people might stop

I love Katherine Heigl and am hoping she stays! I also love George. Giving them a better story line would be great-but I am really hoping they both stay!!!!!

George is amazing. He works harder than anyone, cares more than everyone and doesn't step on people to do it like those jerks Alex and Cristina.
