90210 Shocker: Dustin Milligan Not Returning!
Rebecca Rand Kirshner Sinclair, the new woman in charge of 90210, told Michael Ausiello a few days ago that the show's second season would be "significantly" different than the first.
This just in: she wasn't kidding!
Sources have confirmed that Dustin Milligan, who plays lead character Ethan, won't return as a regular cast member in the fall.
The decision is reportedly 100% storyline driven, an insider told Ausiello.
"Everyone loves Dustin. There was just a feeling that the character had run its course."
The news comes days after TV Fanatic was one of the first outlets to report that Matt Lanter will be promoted to a series regular next season.
Sinclair also said she'll rely less on 90210 veterans such as Jennie Garth, Shannen Doherty, and Tori Spelling to increase ratings.
"The show tried to be a lot of things to a lot of people in its first season," she said. "I think the center lies with the generation of kids that are in high school now. I'm not interested in casting people for stunt value.
"The advantage of having one person - me - [in charge] is that scripts, what happens on the set, casting... it all speaks in one voice."

man this new person is bringing 90210 down hill if she doesn't bring the people that i like then i'm going to quit watching because the people she is taking out is the reason why i watch the show well looks like i will be watching all the shows but 90210 now thanks to the new person hope you lose all of 90210's fans then the people the higher her will regret it

i'm a bit upset he's leaving. i wish he would stay longer.
awwwe...he was the reason i was watching it but then i noticed liam i might still watch it because of liam.
i just wish ethan will stay.....i liked his character.
i just hope to see more of him then!!

That blows!! I like Ethan better than Liam. Seems like the originallity is disipating and this Sinclair broad would rather bank on the typical cleches. The new Melrose is looking better and better!

are serious ? what do the writters have in mind ? insanity? it'll became so awkward without ethan. moreover, the relationship he and silver developed will be over out of nothing. BIG mistake their are doing. silver/ethan would give the show so much audience. they say the character had "run its course", it´s just a false excuse for lack of imagination.

It(He) is not just that ethan goes away, it seems to me to be a bit strange that were very inspired love annie and and this way suddenly already they were not inspired love for anything in one of other one .. I do not see a logical explanation to it. Someone to explain it to me, please?

This show was getting good, and now with Ethan's character gone and all the originals gone? I won't be tuning in....neither will my friends who come over to watch it! BYE BYE 90210!! watch their ratings drop. so sad.

I really like Ethan, Kelly and Brenda..I think it should be Annie and dixon to go..they suck!!
So this means Silver won't be with Ethan!! Nooo!!
but I must admit the last shows are wayyy better so she is doing a good job after all, this Rebecca..I hope the show will focus more on HOT liam (a regular now, yay!), Naomi, Adriana an Silver than boring old Annie and her brother.. she shold have ctashed into that tree!! love her parent's though!! loved them getting high on brownies on the finale!!!
