The third season of 90210 will feature a death, a legal battle and an openly gay main male character.

But how will it actually kick off its move to Monday nights on September 13? With an earthquake in Beverly Hills.

"We wanted to open the season with an event that has both physical and emotional ramifications for several people," executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman told TV Guide, adding that the tremors will result in a life-altering change for one individual:

"One of them has a very serious injury that takes time to resolve and sort of changes the direction of his or her life."

To the chagrin of many 90210 fans, the Kardashian sisters will guest star on the third season finale of this CW drama.

Earlier this week, filming on that episode was completed, as Kim and Khloe posed for a photo with star AnnaLynne McCord. Khloe then posted the following message on her blog:

AnnaLynne McCord was  sooo sweet -- she really made it fun and easy for us. I obviously couldn't leave there without asking her to take a pic with us. How gorgeous is she?!?

This was my first acting stint. Memorizing lines is not really my thing but we did it and I'm honored and thrilled! Thank you to all of the amazing people at 90210.

Evan Ross has landed a new role on 90210.

The young actor (and son of singing legend Diana Ross) will recur on season two as Charlie, a character Fancast describes as "well-read" and who will reportedly get involved in a love triangle on the show.

Sources say Charlie will get get close to Annie, which does confirm earlier reports of a new love interest for Shenae Grimes' character; although some of those have linked her to an older man and even a relative of Liam's.

As always, we'll need to tune in and find out. 90210 moves to Mondays and premieres on September 13.

What do you think of the casting of Ross?

A large majority of 90210 fans are irate at the show for its plan to reveal one of its male leads as gay.

But while readers debate this upcoming storyline in our 90210 forum, we can announce a few other spoilers for season three. To wit:

• Someone will die on the season premiere.
• Naomi will win a legal battle with Jen in regard to their finances.
• Annie will start a romance with an older guy, one possibly related to Liam.

A major character on 90210 is about to come out of the closet.

In news that producers swear isn't just another ratings-inspired stunt - we're looking at you, Adrianna and Gia! - Entertainment Weekly confirms that one of three male students on the show will reveal himself to be gay this fall.

It will be either Liam, Navid or Teddy.

“We want to address the issue in a real and relatable way,” executive producer Jennie Urman told EW.com.

So, who will it be? It's difficult to say, considering this storyline was clearly concocted out of nowhere. It's hard to believe the show has been dropping clues of any kind over the last season or two.

Our best guess is Teddy. He and Silver have no chemistry; perhaps his ladies' man persona has just been a front; and, well, the guy is sort of metrosexual.

Adrianna: Navid, did you know its actully rude to not look at me when you shake my hand?

Even the most loyal 90210 fans are in agreement: This show's May finale was atrocious.

It didn't wrap Annie's hit-and-run storyline and it teased a rape of Naomi, though didn't depict that character truly fighting back like someone in such a horrible situation clearly would.

Even star Tristan Wilds acknowledges viewer disappointment, putting a positive spin on it to E! News: "Some of you guys were upset, but you'll get to see what happens next season. You know, we gotta keep the fans thirsty... It's gonna be a good senior year."

We really hope so.

Another anti-climactic storyline centered around Harry. Rob Estes has left the show, but no goodbyes or hints in this direction were made on the finale.

Still, Wilds is excited over the directions in which 90210 can now go:

"You'll see another part of American culture. It's the plight of the single mom. You get to see what she goes through and how she copes with dealing with two kids and still trying to find a job and keep a house et cetera, et cetera. It'll be a very different dynamic, but it's still very, very true to life."
