Mekia Cox has landed a recurring role on new NBC drama Undercovers.

Therefore, we didn't see this news coming: Zapt2It reports that the actress will reprise her role as Sasha - the older love interest of Dixon's who faked a pregnancy last year and was called out on it by Debbie - on season two of 90210.

A CW spokesperson confirms the report and says Sasha will return on October 4 with "shocking news to Dixon."

On 90210, season two concluded with Adrianna heading off for the summer on tour.

In real life, actress Jessica Lowndes will be releasing her own album this fall. It's a case of reality meeting fiction, and it's one of the topics Lowndes spoke to TV Fanatic about this week. Excerpts from the interview are below...

You were recording during the show’s break. What can we expect from that?
It’s been incredible. During hiatus I started putting together an album, which is fantastic. I got to record a lot in LA and London and I teamed up with this pop artist from the UK called Ironik. We have a single coming out on October 25 in London, we just shot the music video for that.

Where is Adrianna when the show comes back?
My character is no longer in high school, she’s now touring and doing the rock star thing and is definitely a lot stronger this season. I’ve been singing since I was three; it's the one thing in Adrianna’s life that I can totally relate to.

Give us some 90210 spoilers for your character this season.
It’s a dream role for any actress. I’ve done the drug stuff, the pregnancy thing, the love triangle, the lesbian affair and now the music. Adrianna’s addicted to the drama, and even when she’s in it, she says she doesn’t want it. If things go smoothly she gets really bored and craves that next hit of exciting or drama. It’s really interesting and its been fun because I feel like she’s growing up.

Liam will NOT be the gay character revealed on season three of 90210. This much is known.

So, where will that leave the rough-edged ladies' man, whose relationship with Naomi rarely got fully on track last season and who has a clear connection with Annie? Asked about his future with the latter, Matt Lanter teased to TV Guide this week:

"We'll get romantic in the first couple of episodes. We share a kiss."

As exciting as that sounds for Liam/Annie supporters, be warned: the pair won't exactly embark on a happy relationship.

"It gets complicated very fast. There will be a love triangle involving Liam, Annie and Liam's half-brother Charlie (guest star Evan Ross)," Lanter said.

As Dixon screams in a 90210 promo for season three: it's senior year, baby!

More than just an attitude, that quote is also the title of the September 13 third season premiere of the show.

While most fans are buzzing over the spoiler that Teddy will be revealed as gay this fall, other questions remain from the season two finale:

Was Naomi actually raped? How will she react to that incident? What are the chances of a Liam/Annie hook-up? Has the former been punished for her hit-and-run admission? What is the status of Ivy and Dixon? How about Adrianna and Navid?

That's what 90210 Rebecca Sinclair admits in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly. Going into detail about the major season three spoiler that has already leaked online, the producer explains why she chose to make Teddy Montgomery gay.

In a revelation that isn't comforting to fans that fear the show often makes developments up as it goes - focusing on shock value over consistent, logical storytelling - Sinclair says Trevor Donovan's character was NOT written as gay when he first arrived.

Why wait a full season to reveal Teddy's sexuality? [We wanted] to play a coming out story that features a kid we already knew. Instead of his sexuality being the first and defining characteristic, we’ve already gotten a chance to know Teddy before he explores his sexuality. Teddy’s an athlete, he’s a famous guy’s son, he’s blonde and hunky and yes, he also has a sexual orientation and that’s a huge part of his life. In a lot of ways I think that’s more interesting than Teddy is a gay athlete, a gay famous guy’s son and a blonde and hunky gay gentleman.

Was Teddy always meant to be gay? No. We thought he was just a womanizer. But then - and this often happens with characters - we started to wonder about the deeper life of the character. Was he a womanizer, or was he really covering for something?

How will the story unfold? As a top-tier athlete and the son of a famous - and famously womanizing - actor, Teddy has always felt the need to keep up appearances. He’s had trouble reconciling the image that the world has of him with his own true sense of self. And he’s worked hard to repress whatever homosexual feelings he’s had.

But early on in this season, something shakes up the structure of his life. With stability and routine out the window, he has trouble repressing who he really is. He acts impulsively and ends up hooking up with a guy. So it’s less of an epiphany than an impulsive act that sets things in motion.

Adrian Grenier has signed on to sort of guest star on 90210. Allow us to explain...

The actor best known for playing Vincent Chase on HBO's Entourage will appear on the September 27 episode of the CW drama.

But he'll only appear in a musical context, as Grenier's real-life band, The Honey Brothers, will perform at Naomi's 18th birthday party. At the very least, fans can look forward to Naomi tossing a flirty line in the actor's direction.

Senior year, baby!

So screams Dixon in this new preview for season three of 90210.

With less than a month to go until the September 13 premiere, The CW is ratcheting up its promotional efforts for the series. It will feature Broadway star Kyle Riabko as the love interest of... some main male character.

This recurring new star isn't featured in the following video, but a lingerie-clad Naomi sure is. Watch now...

We may not know which male character on 90210 will out himself as gay next season (although all signs point to Teddy) - but we can now confirm the second actor who will be involved in this storyline.

Broadway star Kyle Riabko has been cast as a love interest for the mystery student that finally owns up to his homosexuality on 90210 this fall.

As pictured below, this native of Canada is best known for taking over for Jonathan Groff (Glee) as the male lead in Spring Awakening, the same play Annie co-starred during season one of 90210. Riabko also appeared in the most recent production of Hair.
