Classic Grey's Anatomy: "Elevator Love Letter" Moments
Like all episodes, last night's Grey's Anatomy had its share of great scenes. But a few moments really stood out in our minds, and are worth reliving a second (and third) time.
What else would be the first one? Here's the most romantic proposal ever, with Derek having constructed a personal Meredith Grey Hall of Fame in the elevator (where else).
There were no questions asked or answers, just proclamations of love ...

I LOVE DEREK & MEREDITH. This episode made me sooo happy! I was definitely ready for them to be engaged, I just hope either of them don't run off again! Time to settle down :)

that was the sweetest proposal ever!! i'm so glad it finally happened. now it's just Owen and Christina to worry about. they have the most intense scenes and they rock them! this is the best season!

I LOVED this episode! I think the proposal elevator scene has to be one of the BEST or close 2nd Mer/Der scenes ever! Patrick and Ellen were great as usual. I too think that maybe Mer/Der will be married at the end of the season. I know Ausiello says the wedding will not be Mer/Der, and it may not, but I just feel like we'll get some type of ceremony with them now that they are engaged. Especially, since PD said there would be some type of union between them. I hope the proposal/commitment in the elevator wasn't the union he was referring too. We want more of a ceremonial committment between them if there isn't going to be a traditional wedding. Thats why I have this feeling (I sound kinda like Meredith here) that there will be something exciting still to take place before season end. I hope this isn't just wishful thinking on my part. Again, loved the proposal, it was so Mer/Der to me. Wish we didn't have to wait so long for the next episode. We will all be exhausted thinkin

I didn't love the way the elevator scene was shot. The back and forth super close-up took away from the awesome acting.
