I think CV have zero chemistry but if their pairing brings Chair together in the end. Then thumbs up for that one! Good show and loved the CB exchange by the lockers. And Nate, for god's sake man. Is there anything going on upstairs there? Blair needs to remember Serena's statement of last season. Your Blair Waldor, no one tells you what to do. You tell them!

You are sooo right about the 1-2 episode story lines.....that is the major failing of this show right now....all the ruptures in and inconsistencies draw us out...other than that i think the show is regaining its magic.
First, no show is perfect every week but that's no reason to stop watching! I thought this episode was excellent. I LOVED the exchange between C. and B. at the lockers!!! Especially that B. spent the rest of the episode trying to convince herself that what C. said wasn't true about her and N.
I like the way N. has 'grown up' - e.g., how he handled B. This episode also began gently veering the characters out of "middle age" behavior and more like teenagers - which I've been waiting for.
I don't have a problem with the C.-V. hookup - lots of people hook up when they're hurt and pining for someone else... I am no fan of V., but I reluctantly admit C. and V. have some chemistry - though I would never, EVER buy a storyline that they have more than a physical relationship because there's 2 seasons of C. and V. totally rejecting all things that the other represents, but jealousy makes for strange bedfellows!

Ok, I have finally discovered that
1) whoever hooks up with Chuck becomes immediatly funny, interesting and an enjoyable character. I really liked Vanessa in the last episode, even if I don't like her hooking up with Chuck she was finally part of the OMFG world and sexi. And stop saying that it's unbelievable that she and Chuck would sleep together, watch again the episode where Chuck accepts Blair' s proposal to destroy V it will be clear to you as well that the two had a connection. Oh, and V had a nice dress for once.
2) Whoever hooks up with Nate becomes boring, winy and unimportant: poor Blair was umberable, her lines were lame, she didn't spark, she acted like a deluded 5 years old. I'm not speaking about Nair (which was like the worst ever coupling: Blair, you are not a 40 something divorcée who is afraid to be alone for the rest of her life, you can do better)I'm talking about Blair Blair. She was sooooo boring. And her dress at Jenny's party was soo last season, including

Okay honestly. Last nights episode had to be my favorite Gossip Girl episode so far. It was insane. Im thinking that no matter how made Little J was at serena she couldn't have been more thrilled with the whole party thing. I mean she acted upset but Jenny deserved that and so much more. And as for Nate and Blair UHHH! what the hell. Do the writers not know their characters history. All Nate and Blair have is a messy past. And they have no fireworks at all. Not liek Vanessa and Chuck! I knew that was coming I could tell. So SCANDOLOUS!!! I knew V had a dark side, Besides Vanessa will keep Chuck grounded dont you think? Like she tried to do with nate. O well, What goes around comes around!!!

i was impressed with this episode. It brought back the old Gossip Girl I loved last season. I also think it was necessary to take a bit of a drama-break, with the Age of Dissonance and the Grandfather, but Remains of the J brought drama once again. I can't wait to see how the Chuck-Vanessa and Blair-Nate thing plays out. I'm getting a little annoyed with Serena, though. Why did she have to run off to Spain with Poppy, the most annoying person alive? And acording to the promo, she gets MARRIED?! My bets are on Gabriel as the hubbie.
i agree that there isn't really any consistency, espec. if C is gonna sleep with georgina in the next ep. Don't get me wrong i love the show and the episode. I did wonder whether the 'fan' would be the son when the previously bit included it.

I think most of the chemistry between the Vanessa and Chuck was down to the fact that they are a couple in real life, but in terms of a storyline, what a really ridiculous one, there is just no consistency. Why would C and V sleep together when moments before they were pining over Nate and Blair? And then in the next episode, apparently Chuck is chasing after Blair again. Seriously, I know teenagers have fun and mess around but come on; they aren’t all man whores and loose women! And it just makes Vanessa look hypocritical which isn’t fair on the character. At least with Nate she was beginning to become likeable. As for Nate and Blair, Blair had no spark in this episode and while Nate as usual was great it just seemed with the wrong person. Jenny meanwhile seemed ungrateful and the whole thing with her feeling as though she didn’t have friends there but then invited a whole load of random people was another senseless storyline. Looking forward to the next episode though – final

I don't know even what to say, soon Chuck have slept with everyone:S It's kind of bad...:S I'm just waiting when he sleeps with Serena too. That would be really disgusting. His character has got out of hand:S And I know that the show should be this kind of shocking but it's a bit too much already...:S I have bought most of my clothes to be a bit similar with Blair and my boyfriend has bought similar clothes to Chuck:D But now I don't know who should I admire in the show:(

I love the episode. Gossip Girl just proved that this show is as scandalous as ever. Just because some fans DID NOT GET what they wanted to happen on the show, doesn't mean it sucks already. ;)
COME ON. This is Gossip Girl. Do you actually expect no twists or turns in the story? If you did, well sad to say but you're not an actual fan of the series. It's either you just watch it because of the hotness of Chuck Bass or Nate Archibald, not because you are genuinely hooked with the scandalous and shocking nature of the show.

i wouldnt take them up on their recap offer. the recap on this site for this episode is VERY POOR. no detail or real sense of what actually occurred and in some parts makes biased interpretations of character expressions that are just inaccurate.
