Until Serena hijacked the affair, that is, turning it into a sophisticated soiree. Which in turn caused Little J to hijack that and turn it into a classic high school rager.

Such is life on Gossip Girl, where Blair also pondered her lack of spark with Nate, and Chuck and Vanessa sought to form a plan to drive a wedge between them.
