As if exploring Lily van der Woodsen's roots via a Gossip Girl spinoff wasn't enough, Josh Schwartz may revisit an old TV family tree - The OC - while creating the new pilot.

Schwartz and co-creator Stephanie Savage are "toying with the idea" of having young Lily interact with teen versions of The OC's Kirsten Nichol and Jimmy Cooper (below).
