Grey's Anatomy Recap, Photos, Quotes, Music & More!

Bittersweet is perhaps the best way to describe this great episode of Grey's Anatomy, with one of the show's most wonderful scenes in years coinciding with two incredibly sad (though no less powerful, as all the actors were brilliant) story lines at the end.

He didn't ask, and she didn't answer, but Derek's "Elevator Love Letter" to Meredith left no doubt that they will be together forever. What a wonderful, touching moment.

Cristina and Owen consummated finally their relationship just as they realized they couldn't be together, and Izzie's ailing state left both her and Alex in shambles.

afterwards instead of lately

Derek found the ring too easy. Meredith should kick it in some other direction as well(without touching it with hands because he could ask her lately)

Omg, McCynic, I just read the article. I really hope Shonda is not lying about the wedding! I can't wait any longer!

Why did everybody love it. This is one of the worst episodes I've ever seen. There was the ENGAGEMENT and this BIG surgery and this was it?! Grey's Anatomy was all about the five interns right, and that you need friends. Well, Izzy was all alone. There wasn't even an Alex screaming 'I love you' before the surgery. The engagement was oke, if Der hadn't shown Mer the ring like a thousand times. And there was no excitement at all. It was all just going on getting better. And Christina who first does everything for Owen and than leaves him. Very weak. Break up or stay, but this is so stupid. There were just two people I loved in this episode. Izzy (as always) and Bailey. She was great, helping Izzy, and of coarse with the scarf!

Dudes - SPOILERS - Heigl says she doesn't know that she's leaving and will stay if they'll have her, AND, the 100th episode IS a MerDer wedding - from Shonda's lips -

It was about time!!!
It has been a while since a bit humour and lightness. Is it just me or this season is way more "dark and twisty" than the previous ones?? Except for Sloan and Lexi, who are always very amusing!! The elevator was a great idea, it had to be there and I liked the fact that Derek didn't actually propose. Did anyone though Meredith looked a tiny bit weird when she announced she was engaged?? Something's fishy...she might just run away at some point, go find Addison and let her talk her back into it. Anyway, we'll still have to wait till April 23 to know what happens next.

Beautiful acting job
special kudos to ellen, patrick, sandra, kevin, justin, sara, chandra and tr

The cancer doctor is from Cold Cases. I loved this episode. I am really pleased that the writers are finally unveiling what they had been plotting like months ago... It finally makes sense... And we have to hand it to Shonda, she was able to fulfil all our requests... Scenes with Callie and George (T.R. must have worked things out with ABC because he seems another person and he is growing on screen time... it's only lacking George and Izzie scenes but I'm sure we'll have a whole episode with that coming very, very soon), Callie and Arizona (but without that heaviness that Callica scenes had), James Pickens Jr. never seems to stop surprising - every week he keeps showing new things - Bailey and Meredith getting their groove back (Ellen finally having decent material), Alex is I think the one who evolved the most - he now CARES (if we re-watch season 1 and 2 again one would think that is impossible...), Cristina and Owen are earth-shatteringly good together (who cares about Burke? These two are perfect... they are so strong-willed and so damaged in their own specific way that they glue perfectly...), and of course Meredith and Derek... well... When I saw the title of this episode I already knew where this was ending... The famous elevator... :D And finally... Izzie. Right from the beginning of Grey's I knew Izzie had a special place in Shonda's heart. Mer obviously has more screen time (she's the lead!) but Izzie always had the most interesting plot lines... And you are right, Izzie keeps the whole gang together. She'll like one of those people that never outshine the others but when they're missing everyone can tell the difference. Kudos Shonda. Keep'em coming! Best scene for me: The Chief putting aside the sperm cup while eating xD Ah hilarious...

I started crying when I heard Derek say 'Katie', their first patient ... great episode. Hehe it was like a brief recap of season 1. Loved it, loved it, loved it.

Amazing episode last night, made me cry, laugh, and smile like mad crazy!!! So excited to see what happens in the future and yay finally MerDer are engaged thank god!
I hope Izzy makes it, so sad and glad to see Alex by her side.
Sad about Cristina and Owen but hot sex scene, hope he gets the proper help and they make it work... SEXY COUPLES on GREY"S ANATOMY
love it!
Patrick Dempsey is sexy!!!
Merder for life!!!

Grey's Anatomy Quotes

Did you say it? 'I love you. I don't ever want to live without you. You changed my life.' Did you say it? Make a plan. Set a goal. Work toward it, but every now and then, look around; Drink it in 'cause this is it. It might all be gone tomorrow."

Meredith (closing voiceover)

Burke was- He took something from me. He took little pieces of me, little pieces over time, so small I didn't even notice, you know? He wanted me to be something I wasn't, and I made myself into what he wanted. One day I was me Cristina Yang, and then suddenly I was lying for him, and jeopardizing my career, and agreeing to be married and wearing a ring, and being a bride. Until I was standing there in a wedding dress with no eyebrows, and I wasn't Cristina Yang anymore. And even then, I would've married him. I would have. I lost myself for a long time. And now that I'm finally me again, I can't. I love you. I love you more than I loved Burke. I love you. And that scares the crap out of me because when you asked me to ignore Teddy's page, you took a piece of me, and I let you. And that will never happen again.
