I think that it will be Meredith and derek because shonda usually says stuff to make people second guess their first thoughts. I think that she is tryi g to get everyone to think Izzie and alex or mark and lexi but maybe izzie will end up surving by the 100 episode and she will be in merder wedding. I think that would be very suprising.

They want to surprise us and it looks like neither MerDer, nor Alex/Izzie or Mark/Lexie would be that surprising because these are bets of most people.
So i tried to think of something more surprising... How about Callie and Arizona?
However, it's 100th episode and they are making fuss over this wedding so I'm guessing someone who's more important to the show will get married.

Izzie& Alex...NAH. Izzie's going to die I'm pretty sure cuz that's the only way they can get rid of Heigl.
I don't think it's gonna be Cristina and Owen cuz they haven't even done the Nasty-nasty yet, so not qualified to be an OFFICIAL Grey's couple (LOL)- but hey, anything could happen.
It's MIGHT be Mark& Lexie...who knows? But I honestly don't like that couple..it just feels weird.
I think it's gonna be Merder since sources said something about Der proposing in 'Elevator love Letter' so....
I really hope it's them though cuz I've been waiting, and waiting, and WAITING FOR 5 BLOODY SEASONS just to see them walk down the aisle... I Swear to God if Shonda ruin this couple again, I'm gonna kill someone!!

Hey, in the CTV promo you see Derek showing the ring to Meredith and hear him say "I need you to say yes"!!! So I guess that qualifies for them getting engaged, right? Unless she says no, of course... I still think it's gonna be an Izzie and Alex wedding and I hope that she doesn't have to die after this. If she has, it would be the most romantic, heat-breaking way out. Interesting to see how Alex would deal with being a widower. Sad, sad, sad :(

It is for sure Izzie :´( wether it is a heart broken Alex or "The Ghost of love" (most likely the former than the latter) we would have to wait to find out...BUT MerDer Seriously?! what kind of cold hearted jerks would they be to rub their happiness on Izzies dying face...As much as i would like a MerDer Wed i dont see it happening..unless Meredith wants Izzie to be braidsmaide or something but that would be down right mean in my own opinion..We have to accept it people Izzie is a goner :'(..and im afraid its got more to do with Heigl than what Shonda woulda liked to

if they say it's a surprising one, well it's definitely not merder because a lot of people are expecting that one already.
one option might be alex & izzie, considering that izzie is in critical condition. another one might be mark & lexie.
but who knows. :)

Izzy and Alex!!! I want them together, even if it helps letting Izzy leave the show since it shows hope is over and she will die (i.e. she gets to get married before she dies)... I WILL BE UPSET if its something crazy like Izzy and her "BFF" George; you know because they are friends and he wants to give her this last thing to complete her life.. If that happens I'm done watching the show!!! I want Izzy and Alex, and want them together for all of next season if not longer!!! Not going to like or be happy if Izzy leaves... George, BE GONE, but lets NOT let this make Alex leave to get over everything (i.e. missing the signs and losses her...). The show HAS ME but for how long depends on what all happens.

Yeah. As soon as I read the post, I totally thought, "Well, this could be Izzie and Alex getting married." Not to mention the fact Izzie's mom is supposed to make an appearance on the show eventually, and maybe while she's there, she'll also be involved in a spontaneous Izzie/Alex wedding. As much as I want want want, no -- NEED -- Meredith and Derek to get engaged and tie the knot soon, because it's been too long in the making, I fear Shonda may go through with an engagement this season, but alas, most likely not a wedding.

The first married couple will be Alex and Izzie. As for MerDEr couple they will be drunken and will insult each other on their wedding day. Because of that their colleagues will not believe they have signed up.

Guys if we look at da premiere it actually tells us a lot, cause izzy was workin with a woman that had a brain tumor nd later in da season she got 1. Cristina got hurt nd later in da season owen physically hurts her. Alex was helping ppl out nd later in da season we c hw he's there 4 izzy. Mark was tuning george da whole episode nd we saw that george didnt get any respect from any of his interns reali. Lexie was workin with mark nd nw they a couple. Mer was dreaming of dead der nd he did sort of emotionally die this season cause he was so depressed. Nd in da first episode we saw that der didnt wanna operate on that guy who couldn walk nd he quit later in da season. I think its lexie nd mark that r gonna get married cause i mean she was helping out that other woman out with her marriage problems in da first episode. But who knows im not that sure abt it.

From what I'm reading, I'm getting more convinced it's MerDer since most people believe that AI is the wedding. But I'm starting to change my mind on what I want: This whole thing with Izzie being sick therefore being one of the reasons that MerDer get married makes me sick. She is one of Mer's good friends but good enough to pull a wedding just for her to attend? She's not THAT important. That annoys me. The idea of having the main couple marry just like that annoys me.
In PD's interview, when he said union, I assume that means baby. Or at least moving out of the frat house. *sigh*

this kind of news doesn't feel to have the bulid-up and hype that the MerDer wedding will most likely have. I'm thinking Alex/Izzie (altough it is still confusing)

Chyler Leigh (Lexie) is already in the last months of her pregnancy, she's giving birth in May. And she already said in an interview that her pregnancy will not be written on the show.
So, if Lexie and Mark are the ones that will get married (please not! But the are strong contenders), won't be because of that...

I think it is Lexie and Sloan. Cause I seen Lexie (Cheryl) on the Ellen Show and she was pregnant. So I think they had to write that into her storyline. With the Mc Dreamy and Mc Steamy fight. They might think it is a good idea to get married. Cause Mer and Der are going to be way pissed when they find out.

hmmmmmmm i think that alex and izzie will get married and it will be in the hospital. plus izzie is more for the minister at the wedding then merder. but i hope that there will be a merder wedding coming up soon.
