Will Izzie Pass Away in the Season Finale?
Since before the current season even began, rumors have been circulating about Katherine Heigl wanting to leave Grey's Anatomy, and of her character Izzie Stevens' untimely demise.
With just one week to go in Season Five, all bets still off.
Hundreds of Grey's Anatomy spoilers and discussions later, we still have no idea if she's actually leaving the series, or if Izzie will succumb to cancer in the season finale.
On Thursday's episode, Izzie's wedding to Alex took place in part because of her deteriorating condition, which was quite evident at the emotional, dream ceremony.
Is next week going to be the end of the line for this original, dynamic character, or can she somehow beat the odds and recover after all she's gone through?

OMG..... this is the biggest shocker Grey's has ever had. Of course I already knew Izzie was going ot flatline because she's leaving the show, but T.R. Knight wasnt final and they really got me with the George being jon doe thing. I figured it out as soon as the cheif said he sent O'mally home early. I started crying. Im not a big Gizzie fan but I do like george. I love izzie and Kerev. She makes him a better person. They're perfect for each other.

I hope so... cos honestly I am so sick of this story line. Either kill her or don't but please move on. All of Izzie's stories line are drawn out way to long and frankly I'm starting to get sick of it. I mean they drew out the Denny stuff forever, and then they killed her, BUT he's back. So seriously, if they wanted him on the show this long they should have had him marry Izzie and not die. The show should be Stevens Anatomy these days...

I am aa lot mroe worried about George. We all know Izzie is probably going to live and George will die so I don't get all the please don't let Izzie die.

I hate Alex and Izzie. I think I'd rather Izzie die than see them together. They are that terrible.

I really feel like I jinxed Izzie. When she got the hair cut I was like "That hair cut makes her look really sickly" and then BAM! She got cancer. Anyways, I hope for the best.

I've decided that Izzie can't die. she just can't. because just like denny said when Meredith almost drowned, that will break them. they will not be able to handle it, especially not alex.

I like Izzie.
I love George more though. So if I have to pick which one to die, I'll pick Izzie.
George deserves some happiness, and he's my favorite.

I love izzie. She cant die. Katie heigl has done such an amazig job witg this cancer storyline it just blows my mind. Emmy worthy!
Ellen pompeo is more emmy worthy in my opinion though :) she hasdone sooo great. This season with everything.
Cant wait to see what the season finale will bring :)!
