One Tree Hill may have found the perfect plan to get viewers over the loss of star Chad Michael Murray: Hire another actor with three names and a similar resume!

Former Beverly Hills 90210 star Brian Austin Green, also known as the dude in some of the Megan Fox pics you see online, is in advanced talks to join the cast next season.

"They're ironing out a few issues," notes a One Tree Hill insider, regarding  the goal of Green signing up for the show as a series regular. "but it's pretty much a done deal."

Who is Green playing and what does it mean for Nathan Scott (James Laferty)? Well, BAG will reportedly play Nathan's Jerry Maguire-esque sports agent, Clayton. Interesting!

A PERFECT FIT: Brian Austin Green is reportedly set to join the cast of the long-running CW drama come fall. One can only imagine the cheesy One Tree Hill quotes to follow.

As we know, Green had a starring role in The CW pilot Body Politic, which did not get picked up for the fall schedule. But network execs approached him with the OTH gig.

Clayton is one of three new characters One Tree Hill will be introducing in its seventh season, having bid farewell to mainstays Lucas (Murray) and Peyton (Hilarie Burton).

Still to be cast are the new roles of Haley's (Bethany Joy Galeotti) older sister and a model-actress Brooke (Sophia Bush) hires to be the new face of her clothing line.
